With its unique design and subtle colors (gun, black or white), the RV01 by Stajvelo is an elegant electric bike. But that is not all. The RV01 is a true technological wonder, but has the good taste to let this fact be forgotten, leaving urban users to simply enjoy the ease and pleasure of pedaling in style.

The RV01’s atypical lines were developed in collaboration with designers from the worlds of sports, fashion, and graphic design. But its unique style also lies in the way it is manufactured. Indeed, developed in collaboration with our technical director, ergonomics specialist François Kerautret, the RV01 is made of Advanced Injected Composites. Since most of the materials used in its manufacture are recyclable, it does not pollute and is environmentally-friendly. The true spirit of (re)cycling!

TECHNOLOGY SERVING COMFORT AND SAFETY

To create a new-generation electric bike, Stajvelo has applied to bicycle design technologies that had never been used before, especially not for city bikes.

The result includes innovations such as a new hydraulic disc braking system setup offering increased control and stability, especially during emergency braking.


For its lighting system, Stajvelo has chosen Supernova M99, one of the strongest in the world, with two lighting modes in front (high and low beam) and two different beam angles in back, in order to be visible from any angle. It is also equipped with a rear brake light system.

The RV01 also features Baramind an anti-vibration, shock absorber handlebar. With built-in downward flexibility and upward rigidity, are able to absorb shocks while ensuring perfect handling. The same is true of its directional effect frame and unique geometry, for guaranteed easy steering.



Designed by an ergonomics expert, the frame also adapts to all body heights. Whether you are 5’3” or 6’7”, the pedaling position is optimal and ease-of-use guaranteed. The RV01 does however come in two sizes: S/M (5’3” to 5’9”) and M/L (5’9” to 6’7”).

The Lookin seat by Selle Royal also contributes to its excellent riding comfort. Made of Royal Gel, it reduces pressure peaks by up to 40%.


EASY TO USE, FOR A NEW EXPERIENCE OF THE CITY

Stajvelo’s motto is to make city biking not only simpler, but elegant, so that elegant urbanites can enjoy all the pleasure and practicality of cycling.

No more need to change gears! Pedaling is fully assisted up to 25 km/h (15 mph). The gears change automatically, and when you stop, your bike automatically goes into the lowest gear so that you can start again without straining. And perfectly quiet! It is virtually soundless, thanks to the 48V-Revolution engine by Continental (the first engine for electric bike with continuous automatic transmission integrated into an all-in-one drive unit). The RV01 is equipped with a carbon belt. Remember all those times you used to wrestle your bike chain back on, and the inevitable grease on your socks? A distant memory!



Goodbye to the monkey wrench and other tools you can never seem to find when you need them. Stajvelo is the first to have created easy-on/off monoblock wheels for easier maintenance. Its single attachment system for all accessories (baby seat, bag, top case, etc.) means you can leave the screwdriver at home. And the pliers too!


Forgot where you left it? No problem! The geolocation system will indicate your bike’s precise location via an app (iOS and Android). A second app provides data such as battery charge, number of kilometers traveled, and average speed, GPS and health and fitness data are also available. All of this information can be consulted on your smartphone or via the display on the RV01’s handlebars. A true commuter e-bike.

The RV01’s ease-of-use carries over to its distribution: it will initially be sold online (stajvelo.com), later becoming available at selected concept store and retailers. available at concept store retailers.



MADE IN MONACO

The RV01 was developed within less than a year thanks to a combination of talents. And it is made in Monaco!Its wheels and frame are manufactured in France (injection molded outside Lyon, and painted and decorated near Annecy), and then assembled at the Stajvelo’s workshop in Principality of Monaco. The rest of the components are from mostly European suppliers.


A BIKE LOVER’S DREAM COME TRUE

Stajvelo and the idea of producing a new-generation electric bike took shape in the mind of a true bike lover and commuter. Thierry Manni, an avid cyclophile, is also passionate about technologies and is a Monegasque Entrepreneur. He is a longstanding stakeholder in the automotive equipment manufacturer Novares (formerly Mecaplast), specializing in plastic injection techniques and innovative development of parts for vehicle interiors, exteriors, and engines.

“We wanted a simple bike boosted with technologies, for an urban customer that wants a different experience of the city. For me, the origin and quality of the components and materials is essential. Today, I am proud to have produced the first electric bike made in Monaco.”
