Rogers Park

Sitting supreme at the tip topof Chicago, Roger’s Parklays claim to beautifulbeaches along Lake Michigan.So what if the purple line zipsthrough? Roger’s Park’sartery is the red line, keepingthe northernmostneighborhood in the loop. Thissuper-walkable, dogfriendlyneighborhood is perfect for alow key weekendof walking on the beach andleafing through books inthe bookstore on Sheridan.

EDGE-WATER

Edgewater’s high rises make itlook like a city in itself. Come forthe beaches, stay for the coffeeshops and restaurants. At thetip of Lake Shore Drive, one ofEdgewater’s defining buildingsis the pastel pink EdgewaterBeach Hotel (now apartments).Moving away from the lakefront,Edgewater is home to manytree-lined residential streets. Ifyou crave the fast-paced Loopon occasion, hop on the red lineand be there in 25 minutes.But coming home to Edgewateroffers the peace and quiet anyChicagoan needs to recharge.

This diverse north sideneighborhood is one of Chicago’smost popular. Clark Street is hometo a strip of exciting locally-grownrestaurants. The SwedishAmerican Museum is a popularlandmark and tourist destination.Redfin claims Andersonvilleis the 7th hottest neighborhood for2015. This title comesbecause of the sense of community.With lots of festivals andevents to choose from, this littleneighborhood feels like itsown village within the Second City.

ANDERSONVILLE

RAVENENSWOOD

“It’s like a suburb within the city.” Ravenswood can standalone as a great small town. The neighborhood is a havenfor artists and dog lovers. Winnemac Park plays host toLittle League games and frisbee tournaments amongfriends. The stores along Damen are sure to please anyshopper. With the city just a ride on the brown line away,Ravenswood is commuter friendly and a great getawayfrom the sometimes chaotic downtown area.

LINCOLNSQUARE

Heavily influenced by Germanheritage, Lincoln Square has oldworld charm and modernattractions like a record store andmagic shop. The neighborhood isperhaps best known for the OldTown School of Folk Music onLincoln Avenue. The school hasclasses, concerts and a shop. This isthe perfect neighborhood to visit foran afternoon. Just under 3 squaremiles, Lincoln Square has so manyunique shopping, dining anddrinking options.

LAKEVIEW

Arguably the most popularneighborhood for living, hangingout and generally being. Lakeviewknows no enemies. Right upagainst Lake Michigan and farenough away from downtownto see the stars, Lakeview is apopular choice for living, eating,shopping and doing just aboutanything. With amazing publictransportation and a mix of highrise living and vintage walkups,you can’t go wrong in Lakeview.

WRIGLEYVILE

A neighborhood built Wrigley Field! for Cubs fans. Thislittle neighborhood tucked neatly in Lakeview has WrigleyField at its heart...and pretty much everywhere else. Youcannot escape Cubs memorabilia and themed bars andrestaurants. White Sox fans need not apply. Even if livingso near the stadium doesn’t appeal, a night in Wrigleyvillenever hurt anyone. The camaraderie is unmatched. So pullup a chair and order a pint, let’s watch the Cubs...do whatthey can.

ROSCOE VILLAGE

No official city map recognizes Roscoe Village as itsown neighborhood. It’s lumped in with North Centerand sometimes Lakeview. But this area is home toplenty of people who set themselves apart. Withlittle bars and tree-lined streets, Roscoe Villageseems like a hangout and dog walking capital ofChicago. The neighborhood has a strong senseof community, often organizing events and localenvironmental clean ups.

With its restored mansions and greystone houses,Logan Square is the perfect place to call home.Great, diverse food and an unbeatable art scenedraw tastemakers. Music festivals and showcasesdraw crowds. There’s always something to do in thisupand-coming neighborhood. Logan Square’sproximity to the Loop makes it an ideal place togrow roots.

LINCOLN PARK

It’s no wonder this neighborhood’s motto is “City in a Garden.”This area boasts some of the most beautifully-landscapedgardens in the city. With plenty of local boutiques and highendretailers, this neighborhood is great for shopping. But if theoutdoors is more your speed, Lincoln Park has what you need.The Lincoln Park Zoo and beautiful beaches are the perfectway to spend a day in Lincoln Park. And as one of the mostpopulated neighborhoods, many Chicagoans agree it’s a greatplace to live as well.

BUCKTOWN

Technically speaking, Bucktown is within the Logan Squarecalled bucks.) neighborhood. But this little area nestledagainst the Chicago River has its own feel. With tons ofgalleries, this neighborhood is an artist’s haven. Book andcomic stores are filled with the eclectic and eccentric. Thenightlife scene is not to be missed. Bucktown’s architecture isa site to be seen. And new buildings try not to stick out,giving this neighborhood a traditional feel (but only in anarchitectural sense).

One of Chicago’s most famous neighborhoods,Wicker Parkdelivers an experience like no other. From its many thriftstores to gourmet donuts, this neighborhood provides aunique experience. Sitting north west of the Loop,Wicker Park is home to many artists and musicians. Theneighborhood has a multitude of new properties and restoredolder homes, giving it a varied feel. Forbes called WickerPark one of the top 10 hottest neighborhoods in the countryin 2012 and no one’s speaking out against that claim.

WICKERPARK

OLDTOWN

Old Town is a resilient neighborhood. One of few neighborhoodswhere buildings pre-dating the Great Chicago Fire still stand.Celebrated for its architecture and affluence, Old Town is agreat place to go for a stroll and check out the Victorian Era-style buildings and Triangle District, which is a Chicagolandmark. Also well-known for Second City, Chicago’s famouscomedy club, Old Town juxtaposes its fancy architecture with akiller sense of humor.

PREMIM COFFEE

GOLD COAST

If any Chicago neighborhood were literally paved in gold, itwould be Gold Coast.This neighborhood is home to beautifullyconstructed mansions and Chicago’s finest designer shoppingexperiences. With beautiful flowers and trees on every block, itdoesn’t feel as hustled and bustled as The Loop but providesenough shopping and activity to still feel like you’re in the city.

RIVERNORTH

Though it used to be largely industrial, today’s RiverNorth is glamorous. Home to many art galleries, nightclubs and highend furniture stores, River North attractsthose with taste. By day the neighborhood plays host tomany 9 to 5ers, but by night the lights come on, the drinksflow and spirits are high.

STREETERVILLE

Streeterville is a vacationer’s dream. Brunch spots, Navy Pier,shopping, this neighborhood almost feels as if its constantlysunny. With said shopping and Chicago’s Museum of ModernArt, you could easily spend a day here and not get bored.Highrise living beckons people downtown and providesbeautiful city and Lake Michigan views that are unrivaled.

WEST LOOP

The West Loop encapsulates many other Chicagoneighborhoods like Little Italy and Greektown. Theneighborhood’s past isn’t the happiest; the Chicago firestarted here. But today the West Loop thrives. Hometo the University of Illinois at Chicago and the UnitedCenter, where the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks play.

THE LOOP

The Loop IS Chicago. With everything you could everdream of, there’s no reason to leave. Depicted incountless movies and home to iconic companies,theaters, restaurants and shopping, Chicago’sdowntown is famous. A constant stream of tour buses,helicopters and boats prove that fact. Soak in the cultureand architecture.

PRINTER'S ROW

Formally one of the midwest’s largest printing centers,Printer’s Row is now home to many retail shops, restaurantsand loftapartments. Dearborn Street Station was one of theoriginal six train stations in Chicago. The station is on theNational Register of Historic Places.

SOUTHLOOP

Much of the eastern side of the South Loop is dominated bythe Museum Campus, home to Shedd Aquarium, The FieldMuseum and Adler Planetarium. South Loop is also home toSoldier Field where the Chicago Bears play. With many high-rise apartment buildings and loft-style living many people callthe South Loop home. With magnificant views, you can’t gowrong
