POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Executive DirectorReports To: Board of DirectorsExemption Status: ExemptUpdated: January 6, 2020
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for enhancing the internal organization processes, infrastructure, development, and management of the daily operations that will allow the Center to continue to grow and fulfill its mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Operational Duties Direct and oversee all daily operations of the CAC Financial and Budget preparation and oversight Strategic planning and marketing Program development Policy formulation and compliance with all pertinent government regulations/standards Direct and oversee all third party billing and the CAC internal system for ensuring
maximized revenues Direct and oversee all contracts for billing with federal, state, local government, and any
other funding sources Oversee and development of business policies and operating procedures and practices. Oversee and management of all agency contracts Risk Management and Insurance Custodial of all CAC records Serve as liaison to legal counsel (as needed)
Administration and Finance In coordination with the Board of Directors, Develops annual operating budget for
facility and administrative components. Proposes capital expenditures necessary for the efficient operation of CAC Coordinates with directors of programs, development, and finance all grant reporting and
assures compliance Ensures personnel policies and procedures are appropriate for the effective and efficient
functioning within the working environment and the protection of staff. Reviews policies and procedures annually and recommended changes as needed to the
management team

Oversees timely maintenance and agency records and reports for staff and participants and ensures record security
Development Identifies funding opportunities consistent with the organization’s mission and goals Cultivates new donor relationships and manages existing ones Assists the board of directors and Director of Development with planning and
implementation of fundraising efforts
Human Resources Manage and oversee the human resource function for CAC, including: Recruitment, hiring, and compensation Benefits administration and oversight Professional training and development, including new employee orientation Retention strategies Regulatory oversight and legal compliance Ensuring that the human resource function is properly resourced and represented within
the senior management team Records management Oversee agency Culture and Professional Development tools/assessments
Operations Oversee the maintenance and updating of all internal policies and procedures and ensure
they are reviewed and updated annually Oversees agency facilities and equipment and ensures all are maintained in a condition to
promote efficiency, health, comfort and safety. Evaluates and justifies supply needs and purchases
Office management: oversee administrative functions for the CAC office, ensuring smooth daily operations of physical plant and equipment
Develop and maintain equipment inventory and tracking Represent the CAC on community committees, task forces and groups Oversee agencies social media sites Board of directors – Act as staff liaison to relevant board committees

o Prepares all board related materials, plans and attends all board meetings, and provides direct oversight and management of all board committees.

Facility Procurement and contract management Building and grounds maintenance Cleaning, Janitorial Services Health and safety Security Utilities and communications infrastructure Space management Provide assistance to agency grant writers by lending program expertise Prepare and submit timely and accurate statistical reports documenting grant-funded
activities on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis Attend trainings and conferences as required Maintain positive professional relationships with all center staff, MDT members, and
community stakeholders Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Mission driven with unquestionable integrity Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Non-Profit
Management, Social Work or other related Human Services field Experience in a nonprofit organization, ideally direct care and management Demonstrated experience in operations management and planning with previous
experience overseeing human resources, day to day operations, agency policies and procedures, contracts, risk management, and legal
Dependable transportation for local travel required Strong technical writing and communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and
facilitation skills Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with MS Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and
Outlook Individual should be creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and flexible, possessing a
positive attitude, tact, good judgment, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well as a team member with staff, community professionals, and volunteers
Individual should ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all work Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly to challenges May include some evening hours Desire to work in a child-abuse related organization Clear criminal and civil background check
Experience: 3 years of experience in a socially responsible organization with progressive experience
in operational/administrative/program management
