Risk Management Course Commenced in 2000 Approx. 40 Trips in 2012 Around 400 Outdoor Trips over the 12 yrs No catastrophic incidents 21. Risk In Adventure ActivitiesThe term Risk means: The exposure to the possibility of some loss, including physical oremotional trauma It is unavoidable and important in adventure activities 22. Training Risks Training to become an Instructor involves developingpractical skills in activities that have inherent risks and inenvironments involving hazards. During the course inclement weather will also provideopportunity for students to develop the skills &knowledge to cope with such conditions so that they cancare for themselves and their future clients. 23. Recognition of Prior LearningAcknowledges learning gained fromtraining provided at work, throughoutcourses or through life skills in general.Credits are given to relevant modules.
