Things to do in San Andres.

Copa Airlines flights to San Andres bring you directly to a Caribbean island paradise. Experience a different side of Colombia, where the waters are turquoise, the coconut

groves are lush, and the locals speak English-inflected Creole and have old pirate surnames. There is no shortage of things to do in San Andres—you can snorkel around the

tiny island of Johnny Cay, famous for its colonies of iguanas; dive at the second largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere; and explore Cueva de Morgan, a cave rumored to hold hidden treasure. San Andres is also a duty-free shopping zone, and many stores offer

bargains on luxury goods.

Creole restaurants in San Andres

It’s easy to get a taste of Creole anywhere in San Andres. Enjoy rundown (island coconut stew) in a homey courtyard setting, crab casserole with breadfruit on a terrace with panoramic views of the sea, or coconut curry in a Thai restaurant on the beachfront.

Duty-free shopping in San Andres

One block from the main beach, you’ll find a string of stores selling everything from perfume to chocolate, all tax free. Although there are no formal craft markets, wandering artisans sell coral, woven palm hats, and other handicrafts. One of our favorite things to do in San Andres is to shop for emeralds, Colombia´s signature precious stone.

I would like to go out of buying in the biggest malls of the city, I expect to buy many clothes, drink, accessory rare, I will come out of rumba the nightclubs and bars to know your environment, your design and his services that offer.

San Andres Travel

Local buses circle the island every 30 minutes and cost just COL$1250. Renting a bike is another great way to explore the island’s uncrowded streets.

Most hotels are in the island’s main town (also called San Andres), with more upscale establishments clustered along the eastern end of the peninsula. For a more rural experience, stay in the tiny village of San Luis, just a short drive south.

The weather in San Andres is hot and humid. The rainy season runs from September to January, so bring lots of mosquito repellent during those months.

Every April, the island celebrates its Afro-Caribbean roots with a reggae music festival called Green Moon. The festive Easter season is another great time to visit.

Fly to your unforgettable San Andres experience with Copa Airlines, the best way to connect with the Americas.
