Empire’s HistoryEmpire is a British film magazine that is published monthly by Bauer Consumer Media. ‘Empire’ is one of the biggest selling film magazine companies in the UK and is also published in other parts of the world

such as the USA, Portugal, Turkey and Russia.Empire is a populist in both approach and coverage. It reviews both

mainstream and art films, but feature articles concentrate on the former. As well as film news and reviews and previews, Empire has

some other regular features. Each issue feature’s a ‘classic scene’ from a notable film scene.

Total Film’s HistoryTotal film is a UK based film magazine which is published 13 times a year. The magazine was launched in 1997 and offers cinema, DVD and Blu-ray news and

reviews. Total film is available both on print and interactive I-pad editions. Total Film’s website contains a database of every movie review featured in the magazine. Users of the website can subscribe to a weekly newsletter, featuring

a 10-point rundown of the week's essential news, reviews and features, as well as competitions and free screenings RSS Feeds are available for: news, reviews, features and films coming soon. Users can also comment on any of

the articles included on the website, as well as retweeting on Twitter and sharing on Facebook. Traffic on Totalfilm.com is growing exponentially, with

2.5m unique users and 40 million page views a month. Its social media presence also continues to grow, with a highly engaged audience of over 450k

followers across Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr

My group and I have decided that Total Film is the film magazine we have chosen to inspire our

magazine cover because it fits better with our film’s genre (psychological thriller) in our opinion

and we prefer their layout and the general image that they portray.
