Phos Hilaron Sung by the Quartet
O gracious light, pure brightness of the everlasting One; O Jesus Christ, Most Holy and Blessed! Now as we come to the setting of the sun, and our eyes behold the Vesper light, we sing thy praises O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thou art worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices, O Son of God, O Giver of Light, and to be glorified through all the worlds. Amen.

Psalm Chanted by the Quartet Setting by Thomas Attwood (1765-1838)
Psalm132;8-19 8 Arise, O Lord into your resting place, * you and the ark of your strength. 9 Let your priest be clothed with righteousness* let your faithful people sing with joy. 10 For your servant David’s sake, * do not turn away the face of your anointed. 11 The Lord has sworn an oath to David; * in truth, he will not break it: 12 “A son, the fruit of your body * will I set upon your throne. 13 If your children keep my covenant and my testimonies that I shall teach them* their children will sit upon your throne for ever-more.” 14 For the Lord has chosen Zion; * he has desired her for his habitation: 15 This shall be y resting-place for ever; * here will I dwell, for I delight in her. 16 I will surely bless her provisions, and satisfy her poor with bread. 17 I will clothe her priests with salvation, * and her faithful people will rejoice and sing. 18 There will I make the horn of David flourish; * I have prepared a lamp for my Anointed. 19 As his enemies, I will clothe them with shame; * but as for him, his crown will shine.
Glory be to the Father,* and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost:as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,* world without end. Amen.

Magnificat Sung by the Quartet
My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden. For behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath magnified me, and holy is his Name. And his mercy is on them that fear him throughout all generations. He hath showed strength with his arm;he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seat, and hath exalted the humble and meek.He hath filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he hath sent empty away.He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel,as he promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed for ever.Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost:as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Anthem Sung by the Quartet How Dazzling Fair
How dazzling fair art thou, my Life, my Light! How comely is thy countenance, how bright!
Sun uncreate, how keen is the enjoymentThat Saints and Angels find in thine employment!
In view thereof sing I, by day and night,How dazzling fair art thou, my Life my Light!
My soul, O Lord, is sore athirst for thee:My heart doth yearn thy seemly face to see:Dim is my sight; but one ray of thy kindness
Should quickly skill to cure mine eyes of blindness:Mean while my song and my complaint shall be,
“My soul, O Lord, is sore a thirst for thee.”
When shall I come to hear that Angel song?Nay, swell the chorus of the heav’nly throng?
Then join the noble company of Sages,Who chaunt thee Lauds through everlasting ages?
Now ev’ry day me thinks and all day long,“When shall I come to hear that Angel song?”
Amen.

Hymn The Hymnal 1982 #141 WiltThouForgiveThatSin,WhereIBegun
14
Wilt thou forgive that sin, where I begun, which is my sin, though it were done before?
Wilt thou forgive those sins through which I run,and do run still, though still I do deplore? When thou hast done, thou hast not done,
for I have more.
Wilt thou forgive that sin, by which I wonothers to sin, and made my sin their door?Wilt thou forgive that sin which I did shuna year or two, but wallowed in a score?
When thou hast done, thou hast not done, for I have more.
I have a sin of fear that when I’ve spunmy last thread, I shall perish on the shore;swear by thyself, that at my death thy Son
shall shine as he shines now, and heretofore. And having done that, thou hast done,
I fear no more.
