TM Consultants is an Engineering Consultancy specialising in structural engineering and building services, located in Riccarton, Christchurch. Worked as a Mechanical Technician for various projects in the

Robson Design: 2008-2011

Christchurch, where they design alloy craft from 4m - 50m. This ranges

existing vessels. At Robson Design I have worked as a CAD modeller and draughtsman. In addition to this I have done renderings and graphic design for magazine adverts, posters and other advertising material.

Old Library Cafe & Bar: 1994 - early 2004Worked part time as a kitchen hand.

EDUCATION HISTORYOtago Polytechnic: 2004 - 2007

Bachelor of Design(Product) At Otago Polytechnic I learnt about the design process, and picked up skills in model making, CAD and graphic design software, as well as improved upon already existing artistic skills for ideation and concept presentation.

B I M M O D E L I N G

83 Victoria street was one of the first buildings to be completed in the CBD of Christchurch after the earthquakes of February 2011. Using ArchiCAD , the building was modeled and drawings created.

3D renders help clarify details that can be complicated and time consuming in 2D details.

While at TM Consultants Ltd there was a broad variety of work. Shown above is an underfloor heating plan for a clients new house.

Mechanical and hydraulic services were also part of the works completed.


The Latimer Hotel was another project finished quickly after the February 2011 earthquakes (left) and primarily involved hydraulic services. Shown right are a floor plan and photo of the Electrical (photo only) and Mechanical Services for TE Connectivities new factory.

Orana Wildlife Park Gorilla & Orang-Utan Centre was a challenging project to work on, with both mechanical & hydraulic services needing to be kept out of reach of exceptionally dexterous fingers. Underfloor heating was also used for the comfort

of the Gorilla’s and to draw them into the display areas of the enclosure .

Adobe Illustrator.

for the two logo’s on the right.

Concept sketches for a leather couch with timber details. This was a personal project with the aim of including timber in a modern looking sofa

and to have some storage for magazines within the unit.

W A R G A M I N G

My hobby of wargaming with 25mm figurines is where I use my design skills in my personal life. This involves concept sketching, CAD modeling, laser

cutting sculpting & painting and texturing finished models.


Renders help visualising how the terrain will look before laser cutting, assembling and painting takes place. The statue shown completed will be

the first of a ruined settlement for use on a gaming table.
