GirlFriends Retreat 2013 “Relentless”!Dear GirlFriends,Let’s remove ourselves from daily life, and reignite our souls in a totally unique environment. Join other girlfriends in becoming better neighbors, college students, moms, wives, grandmas, and friends - all while having a blast at Timber Creek Camp. GirlFriends Retreat 2013 “Relentless” includes challenging worship, thought-provoking speakers, meaningful discussions, and energizing fun as a group and individually. There will be Break-Out “small group” discussions, Classes, Activities and free time. There are unique Classes you can sign up for this year; Art Class, Pampering and Facials Class, Organic Health Class and Vogue Pilates. The Activities you can participate in are endless or you can enjoy some “free time” to just relax while breathing in nature. There is something for every Girlfriend. We encourage all women to share in fellowship with other Girlfriends who love God, while still creating space for God to speak into each one of our lives! His love for us is “Relentless”!

Read this PacketThis packet is loaded with information designed to be a helpful resource for you as you prepare for your time at Timber Creek Camp. Please take time to read through the materials provided and pray for your time at camp.

Choose your own AdventureThere is so much to do at Timber Creek Camp, you can’t do it all in just one weekend. Before you sign up, think about which Classes and Activities are most important to you, then sign up for those. There is a limit of one Class per person on Friday night and again on Saturday morning. You can sign up for organized Activities when you register online or at the Connection Center (see Stacy Buchanan). Once you arrive at Camp see Jennifer McGill or Joe’l Povolni to add your name to an activity sign up sheet.

CLASSESWe have four different classes offered this year, two on Friday evening at 8:45pm and two on Saturday morning at 9:15am. This allows you to sign up for a total of two classes, one on Friday evening and one on Saturday morning. They will each last an hour or less. Please sign up and pay for Classes when you register for the retreat either online at www.mychristlife.net or at ChristLife Church at the Connection Center, so that we can be sure we have enough supplies for all that attend each class.

Art ClassApril WatkinsHave you ever wanted to paint, but don’t know how to start? Do you love to paint and just need the time and place? Come enjoy a session where we will be painting on our own canvases, a picture that is guided with step by step instructions from beginning to completion. And if you already love to do art, come paint and create with us at your own leisure!

Pampering and Facials ClassJoanna DicksonCome pamper yourself in a relaxing spa-like atmosphere with rejuvenating facials, massage oils, scrubs and more! All products used are botanically based and hypoallergenic.

Organic Eating Health ClassTracy Smith and Sheri ThomasORGANICS - ORGANICS - ORGANICS!!! We invite you to learn how to eat healthy with organic products and taste test what we show you how to make. This is a class you don't want to miss!

Vogue Pilates ClassReesheda CarterThis Pilates class will be safe and effective for all ages and fitness backgrounds. You'll learn basic Pilates principles that will, over time, improve body alignment, balance and strength. Important! Bring a large beach towel or a pilates/yoga mat with you. Anyone with chronic back pain may want to bring two smaller towels in addition to the mat or beach towel. One to place behind the neck and another to place under small of back.

Directions: From Jackson, Mississippi: Take Interstate 20 East toward Meridian. Continue heading east until you reach exit 80 (the second Morton exit). Exit right and take a right. Go south on Highway 481 for approximately 3 miles. Then, take a left on Morton Marathon Road. Continue east on Morton Marathon Road for approximately 3 miles. ACTIVITIES DESCRIPTION AND SIGNUP

ACTIVITIES: Some activities will run during the same time as our classes on Friday night and Saturday morning. If you would prefer to sign up for the classes offered, then make sure that you sign up or choose to participate in activities that are not listed at the same time as the class you are taking.

For most Activities, sign-up is not required. Those requiring sign-up are clearly marked. If sign-up is required, you may do so when you register for the Retreat, either on-line or at the CLH Connection Center.

Game NightBoard games, card games, and more will be offered Friday evening for those women who love to chat and play games. We will be playing for a while, so if you choose to sign up for a class first, come join us at any time after your class ends. We will be snacking and laughing in Cook Cabin!

BonfireCome join us around the campfire for a great time of relaxing, funny stories and lots of laughs. Whether you sign up for a class and/or play games you’re still welcome to come join the bonfire (if the weather permits) at any time!

CanoeingTimber Creek Staff is available to help if needed. If you’ve always wanted a chance to canoe this is your time. Join other girl friends for a great canoeing experience! Canoes are available on 2 different racks at each end of the lake about 6 feet from the edge of the water, with life preservers available. Enjoy!

Hiking TrailGather friends to hike with you!If you enjoy strolling through the woods there are some great hiking trails at Timber Creek Camp. Grab a few friends and enjoy a hike of your choice! Hiking trails are clearly marked on the grounds and all of them are low impact. Please wear close-toed shoes for your protection.

Helpful Hints for GuestsAsk Lots of QuestionsThat’s the best way to get started. Ask lots of questions, we will give you lots of answers. We want you to have a stress-free time away where your only responsibility is to have a blast and be transformed. Let us know how we can help you!When you ArriveRegistration is Friday, November 1 @1:00-1:45pm in front of Cook Cabin “meeting Cabin”. If you are unable to come then, late registration is 4:15-5:00pm. Late registration is just after our Team Building Group Activity and just before dinner at 5:30 in the Dining Hall. During Registration, you will be given a booklet with an updated schedule and a wristband to wear throughout the weekend. While you’re at the registration table you may sign up for activities. Cabins will be available for move in. Once you have registered, you may drive to your cabin area to move into your cabin for the night. After you have moved in, please park your vehicle for the weekend and plan to walk to the various activities and programs.Meals and SnacksThree meals will be provided during your stay so you’ll be able to relax and enjoy all the moments. Dinner will be served in the Dining Hall Friday evening at 5:30. We do ask, if you can, to bring something sweet (a dessert) or something salty (a party snack) to enjoy Friday night after our main session during free time with games and a bonfire. Saturday morning breakfast will be served at 8:30 am and lunch at 12:30 pm, both in the Dining Hall. If you have any food allergies please let us know on your registration form.Packing List
