Hook and Extras For Christmas Tree – 15cm high polystyrene cone. 125cm length of red ribbon (6mm wide). dressmaker’s pins. assorted round and star-shaped sequins. 1 star-shaped bead plus optional small bead for attaching. For Reindeer Head – 5cm diameter polystyrene ball. 3.00mm (UK 11) crochet hook. 40cm length of red ribbon (6mm wide). dressmaker’s pins. small red bell (nose). 2 small beads and 2 small sequins (eyes). Note – We recommend parental supervision for children under 3 years as these decorations have small parts which may present a choking hazard. Christmas Tree Wrap polystyrene cone with green Sparkles until well covered, pinning both ends to cone. Cut ribbon into five 25cm lengths then neatly tie bows. Attach each bow with a sequin and pin (as pictured). Pin sequins onto tree in threes or fours (as pictured). Pin star-shaped bead to top of tree (if hole in bead is too big, use a small bead at tip of star). Easy Craft & Crochet ChRISTMAs DeCORAtIONS Reindeer Head Ears (make 2) Using 3.00mm hook and white Sparkles, make a length of chain 3cm long, fasten off. Antlers (make 2) Using 3.00mm hook and Magnum 8 ply, make 8ch. 1st row – Miss 1ch, 1dc in each of next 3ch, make 5ch, miss first of these ch, 1dc in each of next 4ch, make 4ch, miss first of these ch, 1dc in each of next 3ch, (1dc in side of next dc) twice, 1dc in each ch to end. Fasten off. Sew in ends. Assembly (see picture) Wrap polystyrene ball with white Sparkles until well covered, pinning both ends to ball. Cut a 25cm length of ribbon and tie neatly in a bow. Form remaining ribbon into a loop, attach to ball with a pin through bow plus both ends of loop. Fold each chain in half to form ears and attach to ball. Pin antlers in position behind ears. Create eyes by pinning through a sequin then a bead.
