Some random thoughts by the pastor…
Have you ever no'ced that Jesus doesn’t require anything from people before they engage each other? This approach drove some people crazy…especially those who felt it necessary that certain criteria had to be met before any kind of engagement could happen. Our Gospel story from Luke is a good example of Jesus engaging a tax collector (someone who was sinning – someone who was not worthy – by collec'ng taxes). Jesus has no requirements or expecta'ons! He simply says, ‘I will stay at your house.’ As the Book of Wisdom tells us, it is God who engages us because God knows who God has created. God is good.
Parish updates: We are quickly approaching our annual Bazaar (November 19-20)! The event is always energizing for CTK. We have an opportunity for parishioners to interact with each other in a seSng different than weekend Mass. We are looking for help to set up the tables for the Bazaar on Saturday, November 12
th following the 4:00 Mass.
