C&I Engineering was established in 1990 by a group of Thai Engineers who working in Engineering & Construction Departments of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) which was the only State Enterprise Agency that looked after Power Production & Transmission throughout Thailand at that period.

With co-operation with MECT Company Limited as sub-contractor of Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company Limited (STECON) for COCO Phase III - Berth Upgrade Project, C&I'sDesign & Engineering skills performed as the backbone for project success.

Our responsibilities for this project were to handle all Electrical, CCTV, Process Control & Automation Systems Design & Engineering for the proper operations of 4xTravelling Coal Hoppers plus 3xCoal Conveyors which were newly constructed at new coal habour invested by Glow SPP3 Power Station, Map Ta Phut I.E., Rayong Province.

"Siemens" ET200M Remote I/O Stations as well as "Siemens" Simovert MaterDrives altogether with Profibus Communication Protocol have been employed as the key components for overall system control.

Maintenance & Services


C&I Engineering firstly started this business in 1999. From then, the services have been starting from small up to medium size of factories at the beginning stage.

In mid of 2001, the business became bigger as award has been received from Gulf Cogeneration Power Plant (107MW Cogeneration) for its first Balance Of Plant I&C Preventive Maintenance with following Scope of Services :

Process Sensors CalibrationControl Valves Maintenance & CalibrationMotor Operated Valves Maintenance & CalibrationField I/Os Looping Checking through Plant DCS

With nearly 500 items, C&I Engineering took only 5 days from starting to the completion with 40 working crews.

In early 2002, similar Contract was awarded to C&I Engineering by Sahacogen Power Plant (122MW Cogeneration) for its 2002 I&C Preventive Maintenance.

The difference from previous project was not only Balance Of Plant but all Gas Turbines (GT1 & GT2), Steam Turbine (ST1) as well as Heat Recovery Boilers (HRSG1 & HRSG2) components were to be handled including Vibration Monitoring Sensors & Analyzers. With about 30 working crews, the assignment was successfully completed within 5 days, 1 day ahead deadline.

Since 2003, C&I Engineering has downsized this business to some extents as the competition was dramatically high playing around by 3-4 key players.

From then, C&I Engineering has entered into a loose cooperative agreement with
