Cinco de MayoMexico

Cinco de Mayo is a commemoration of a Mexican victory over the French at Puebla on May 5th, 1862

In Puebla and in Mexico City, Cinco de Mayo is marked with not only parades and festivals, but also reenactments of the historic Battle of Puebla, with participants dressed as Mexican and French soldiers.

A parade to show the pride of Mexicans is performed to symbolize their accomplishment!

Celebrations include not only wonderful Mexican foods, but also parades, mariachi music, and folk dancing.

There are special events planned and the focus is always Mexican culture.Advertising Mexican products and feasts including traditional Mexican beverages and music are the highlights of the activities.

The Holliday of cinco de mayo is celebrated for the win over the French army at pueblo. Families gather together while celebrating with food and good times. Often times the families will go to the cinco de mayo parade for a good time!there is normally a lot of drinking at this time for the adults because it USA very festive time for everybody. Those are the reasons why in parts of Mexico cinco de mayo is celebrated and some of the activities that citizens participate in.
