INTRODUCTIONW H O W E A R E
The Cinematic Section was initially conceptualized in 2010 and later that year, realized as a section of the Fine Arts Society –a separate wing dedicated to movies and other associated Cinematic activities
The major breakthrough came with the 2ndPrize in Documentary Making in Spring Fest 2011, followed by the recruitment of new members.
After the successful completion of the first few projects, the society had gained enough momentum and sufficient experience to be able to tackle complex problems and at the same time bolster creativity in high demanding cinematic affairs
The society then went on to create and achieve a lot more with passing time, eventually making its way to the National Film Festival 2013 .
COMPLETE WORKS U M M A R Y
The Section has made its irrefutable presence felt even outside the premises of IIT Bhubaneswar regularly for the past three years
A wide assortment of documentary projects –ranging from social to technical to cultural to more –adorn the work history of the members
Regular induction of fresh young talents and their exposure to new challenges has been the prime ethical essence of the Section, thus leading to the passing on of the culture to the upcoming batches
The Section has conducted many Workshops on Movie Making –with the prime focus of each being Editing, Designing, Post-Processing, etc
Scores of movies have been made, either by the members themselves , or by the students participating for the auditions, most of which have been made online under the official YouTube Channel–an interface marking its significant online presence.
