What is InsulaTFH?

InsulaTFH will develop a process for the manufacture of pre-insulated timber-frame wall panels, using recycled materials with a target U value of 0.16.

Features include:

1. Processing of waste paper into pulp2. Controlled panel-filling process3. Delivery of complete panels to the building site

Tips for SME project partners / Proposal Phase

• Take plenty of time to study proposal before deciding on participation.

•Project has to be right for your organisation / Fit with overall organisation strategy

•Make sure all concerned persons within organisation are aware of project. They need to be on-board.

•Most Important: Don’t rush and be sure you are aware of what you are committing to.

Tips for SME project partners / Project phase

• Keep regular track of hours spent on project. Be fair in your reporting.

•Create clear chain of command. Keep track of all communication and ensure all emails are kept.

•Ensure the accountant is fully briefed on the project and keep all financial records separate from company accounting.

• Kill two birds with one stone: Integrate project work, as much as possible, into your everyday tasks.

Tips for SME project partners / Troubleshooting

• Keep regular contact with the coordinator.

•If there are any problems, deal with them upstream.

•If you feel you can’t supply the required in-kind hours, renegotiate. Don’t invent hours spent on the project!

•Have regular meetings with staff to ensure that the project is running smoothly in-house.

•Own the project: The project is yours to shape and change if things go wrong.
