Greetings,I’m Woody Folsom, President of Circle F Farms, LLC, in Baxley, Georgia. I want to introduce myself to you all and give you the history of how Circle F Farms started and where we are today.

I was raised on a small 50-acre farm right here in Baxley, Georgia. As a small child, I started out raising bottle calves during the summer months to sell and use the money to buy my school clothes for the upcoming school year. My dream as a young boy was to own my own ranch and raise cattle.

As most of you are aware, I am a new car dealer. I bought my very first Chevrolet dealership in Hazlehurst, Georgia, in 1996 but my passion for raising cattle was still as strong as it was when I was a young boy. I worked hard to establish my car dealership, and then decided I needed to fulfill my passion and my dream of owning a ranch.

In the year 2001, I purchased 500 acres and formed Circle F Farms, LLC. From there, I was on the search for a top-notch cattleman. I found that man in Joe Eason, and I hired him in 2002 to oversee new ground cleaning, putting up fence and raising commercial cattle. Joe, his wife Penny, and their daughter

Danielle, moved to the ranch to oversee it. Until 2009, we raised only commercial cattle running Brahman x Hereford F1’s that I purchased from Johnny Harris at Greenview Farms in Screven, Georgia.

2009 was a tough year for Woody Folsom Automotive, Inc. and for the car industry itself. Circle F Farms was forced to sell all the cattle to keep the doors open on my dealership. Luckily, the cattle had already paid for themselves, so the clear profit in sales saved the dealership. After starting over at the ranch and reestablishing my herd, I purchased a small group of registered Brangus cattle and was focused on getting my numbers back to 500 head.

In April 2013, my father and my best friend, James E. Folsom passed away. Several months later, I had the opportunity to invest money from his retirement savings when my mother, Rilene, asked if my business needed it. I told her I wouldn’t invest my Daddy’s money in my car business because the way the economy can change, I never would want to risk losing it. I thought about it for a few weeks, and then called my mother and told her that I’ve always known how much she and my Daddy loved Gray Brahman cattle, so I decided to invest my Daddy’s money into buying Gray Brahmans.

The only contact I knew at that time was Milton Charanza of Broken Triangle Cattle Company. I told Milton that I wanted to purchase the best Gray Brahman heifers that money could buy. Milton went on a mission to fulfill my tall request. He called me back in three weeks and said that J.D. Hudgins, Inc. had agreed to sell me 35 heifers. I immediately told him to put them on a truck and send them to Georgia. When these heifers hit the ground at Circle F Farms, my Ranch Manager, Joe Eason said, “My God, they are the best I’ve ever seen in my life! I can feed 500 just as easy as I can 35.” I then sold all my Brangus cattle and called Milton and told him that I wanted 500 more Gray Brahman heifers. It took Milton Charanza, J.D. Hudgins, and V8 Ranch to help me fulfill what I knew would be mine and my Daddy’s dream. Six years later, Circle F Farms, LLC has more than 2,500 acres, 500 registered Gray Brahman mamas, and 20 employees. My one new car dealership that I opened in 1996 has now turned into 6 new car dealerships and 2 used car dealerships located in Baxley, Georgia, and in nearby surrounding counties. Woody Folsom Auto Group employs more than 450 people. My son Tanner and I also have six breeder and eight broiler houses with Pilgrims. In 2015, I started Woody Folsom Trailer Sales selling trailers, flatbeds, and T&S Feeders. I’m proud to say that me, my wife, Tamela and our 2 children, Tanner - 20 and Anna Kate – 17 have been blessed. I’m also very proud to say I’m honored to be able to showcase some of the finest Brahman genetics in the country! Thank you for coming!

Sale Information & Terms

Sale Terms: Cash or check. Cattle will be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will settle any bid disputes on the auction block. All cattle are to be paid for by the purchaser at the time of the sale. Cattle will not be released until after settlement has been made. Each animal will be at the purchaser’s risk immediately after it is sold. Announcements made on sale day on the auction block shall take precedence over the information in this sale catalog or other advertising. We reserve the right to withdraw any sale lot that does not meet our specifications prior to the sale.

Health: All cattle are in excellent health and evaluated on a health protocol by an accredited veterinarian in the state of Georgia. Each animal will be accompanied by an individual health certificate for immediate interstate shipment.

Breeding Guarantee: All bulls sold in this sale have passed a fertility test and are guaranteed by Circle F to be breeders, provided they are properly cared for and handled by purchaser. All bulls have been trichomoniasis tested negative. Any bull failing to breed after 6 months may be returned to the seller if in good condition. Seller reserves the right to try bull for 6 months. If he proves to be a breeder, he will be returned at buyer’s expense. If the bull proves to be a non-breeder, a credit will be issued for the next Circle F Farms sale. Seller is not liable for bulls lost due to injury or death. Bred females are considered breeders with no further guarantee. Open females are guaranteed to be breeders. If heifer is not pregnant by 30 months of age, she may be returned to seller and seller has six months to prove her as a breeder. If she is not bred after 6 months, a credit will be issued to be used at the next Circle F Farms sale.

Hauling: Cattle purchased within a 200 mile radius of Baxley, Georgia, will be delivered at no charge. Anyone who purchases 5 head or more will also receive free delivery. All other animals will be delivered to a central location in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisianna, and Texas for a flat rate of $200 per head. JDH Sir Iago Manso 998/8 is one of our young herd sires that we are excited about due to his performance, pedigree, and build. This young sire’s first calves are just hitting the ground and they are, as you would expect, small at birth and growing rapidly. It should also be noted that Iago ranks in the TOP 2% of the breed for REA and Marbling. The sire of Iago is the International Champion, Vanguard Sire, and legendary sire (+)JDH Sir Liberty Manso. To further compliment his pedigree is his proven dam who has calved each year for 8 straight years! Many of the heifers in the sale are exposed/bred to this sire further enhancing the genetic opportunities.

Brahman BullsThe offering of bulls in this sale is diverse. To start we are selling

two of our PROVEN herd sires. Mr. V8 450/7 and Mr. V8 454/7 were

two of the bulls that we started building our program with. You will

see the influence that they have played in our program as both have

a number of progeny that will be sold in this sale. Be sure to study

these two sires as this will be a rare opportunity!

The additional bulls in this sale were selected as potential herd

sires for registered Brahman breeders. These bulls for registered

production might come with a little higher birthweight but

offer incredible growth, maternal, and carcass figures, as well as

marketable pedigrees. For our many commercial buyers, we are

offering a select set of bulls that are ideal for crossbreeding. All bulls

have been fertility tested and are ready to go to work. Although the

offering is virgin bulls, they have been trich tested negative as an

Mr. V8 450/7 is one of the most proven and popular herd sires that we have used due to his combination of phenotype, pedigree, and performance. Most breeders quickly gravitate to his dark pigmented, deep ribbed, heavy muscled, and eye appealing build. The most discriminating breeders appreciate his pedigree as he is sired by +Mr. V8 380/6 “The Machine” who sired more show winners than any other sire from 2011-2017.
