Blue Baby Syndrome• Is the disease in newly
born infants.• It occurs when the
opening between the right and left atria or ventricles remain open.
• These openings should close soon after the birth.
Angina Pectoris
• Due to insufficient oxygen reaching the heart muscle caused by the narrowing of the coronary artery.
Angina Pectoris
Heart FailureThe final stage in almost any type of heart disease is heart failure, also known as congestive heart failure. In this condition, the heart muscles weaken and are unable to pump enough blood to the body.
Aneurysm
• Condition wherein the aorta of the heart and the artery within the skull bulge during an increase in blood pressure. Bulging occurs due to the weakening of the arterial walls
• Maybe caused by injuries, infection, high blood pressure.
hypertension• Also known as
high blood pressure. It develops when the body’s blood vessel narrow, causing the heart to pump harder than normal to push blood through the openings.
Arteriosclerosis•Hardening of the arteries and the interuption of blood flow through arteries of the BRAIN.
•Hardening of the artery walls may be caused by fibrous tissue in the blood vessel or cholesterol deposits.
Stroke
• Known as cerebrovascular
damage.• Caused by a
lack of blood flow to the part of the brain
Thrombosis
• Formation of blood clot, or thrombus, inside the blood vessel, completely blocking the flow of blood through it.
Anemia
• An abnormally low number of red blood cells or low levels of hemoglobin.
Polycythemia
• Blood contains an abnormal large number of red blood cells.
Leukemia• Type of cancer that affects blood cells. • Begins when an Immature blood cell called
PROGENITOR CELLS.
Hemophilia
• Hereditary blood disease by inability of blood to clot leading to excessive bleeding
Purpura and Petechiae
Condition where there are numerous small patchy hemorrhages on the SKIN.
Condition where there are numerous small patchy hemorrhages on the hair follicle.
