Meetings New Feature Details


Meeting List

• Easily view and join your upcoming scheduled WebEx and Cisco Spark meetings with Meeting list and scheduled meeting notifications.

• From the meeting list, can view the list of invited people and other meeting info

Available on Cisco Spark for Windows and Mac. Requires Cisco Spark Hybrid Calendar Service with Microsoft Exchange or Office 365.


Scheduled Meeting Notifications

• Get to your meetings on time with notifications for your scheduled WebEx and Cisco Spark meetings

• Receive meeting notifications 5 minutes ahead of meeting start time, with a countdown

• Figure out the right time to join your meeting by see who’s already joined

• Quickly join your WebEx or Cisco Spark meeting by tapping join from the notifications

• Easily let meeting invitees know you’re running late by messaging them right from the notification

Available on Cisco Spark for Windows and Mac. Requires Cisco Spark Hybrid Calendar Service withMicrosoft Exchange or Office 365.


Snooze Scheduled Meeting Notifications

• Snooze allows you to dismiss the Scheduled Meeting Notification pop-up temporarily. Upon tapping the Snooze icon, the notification pop-up will reappear at meeting start time.

• Snooze works on a per app basis. For example, if you snooze on Windows, your Mac app notification will not be snoozed

• Users have the flexibility to set when they’d like to see their scheduled meeting notifications: 5 minutes, 1 minute, or at meeting start time

• Preference will work across Windows, Mac apps (e.g. if you set the preference from your Windows app, the Mac app will honor the setting as well)



Join Cisco Spark Meetings by Video Endpoint

• Endpoints will be able to join meetings in a Cisco Spark space

• Invite others to join a scheduled or instant meeting with a video address or by the meeting link

• Available to M2 and M3 customers in spaces with 3-25 participants


Schedule Cisco Spark Meetings

Activity Menu > Meetings

• Desktop: Opens Microsoft Outlook and pre-populates the meeting invitee list using space members’ email addresses and invitation body using the space meeting link

• Mobile: Copy space members’ email addresses and meeting link into a meeting invitation in your device’s calendaring app

• Meetings can be joined by clicking on the meeting link.

• Note the “Meetings” activity circle will appear in spaces with 3-25 people for users with Basic or Advanced Meetings (M2 or M3) entitlements.

To change the volume when sharing, swipe up from the bottom of the Board to see the volume slider.

Support for Static IP addresses on Cisco Spark Board.

Static IP support allows Board to deployed in more corporate network environments.

To access, go to Settings > Network connection > Advanced network settings.


Messaging New Feature Details


Hide Message Preview in iOS Notifications

Choose to hide message content in your iOS Notifications.

You will receive a notification, but won’t see any of the message content.

To hide Cisco Spark message content in your iOS Notifications, go to the “Me” tab, select “Notifications,” then toggle off “Message Preview.”


Emojis

Easily add emojis in your messages!

On Windows 10 and Mac OS X10, select the ☺ to see an emoji picker!

Click an emoji and you’re all set. On Mac, you’ll need to double-click.

Note: Windows 10 users are encouraged to update to their Segoe UI font v1.12.

Mobile users can still access the emoji keyboards on their iOS and Android devices.


Contact Card

On Windows and Mac, hover over someone’s profile image to see their Contact Card.

On iOS and Android, tap someone’s profile image to view their Contact Card.

The Contact Card contains their profile image and email address, and shows Message and Call activities.


Search Filters (Web)

Search filters are used to find content, spaces, people, and messages faster.

Type “In:” and a space name to search in a specific space.

Type “From:” the name of a person to search messages sent by that person.

Note: This feature already exists on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android


Presence Visibility Enhancements (Web)

Added a visual representation of presence state wherever user profile images are shown on Cisco Spark for Web

• Green ring: Active less than 10 minutes ago• Plain: Active in the past 24 hours• Faded: Last active over 24 hours ago• Stroke: Do Not Disturb• Airplane: Out of Office

Easily see when people were last active or if they don’t want to be disturbed. Note presence is only shown to users within your own company.

Note: This feature already exists on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android.


Calling New Feature Details


One Time Pin (OTP)

OTP simplifies the on-boarding and pin reset process for Voicemail Users

OTP is presented in “Voice” Cisco Spark space for new voicemail users and to un-lock accounts due to multiple invalid pin attempts.

Login using OTP and set PIN using TUI interface.

*Option to set PIN using Self-Care remains as is.


Select a Line for Calls

Improve outbound calling experience in shared line environments.

Administrators can now choose:1. Use First Available Line2. Always Use Primary Line

Unified Directory

Unified directory enhances the search experience on Cisco Spark calling endpoints to include Spark contacts as well as enterprise contacts.

Search now displays several options versus just the Spark URI.

Transfer to Voicemail

Users can transfer a call directly to someone else's voicemail by pressing the transfer key then “*” then the extension then complete transfer. The incoming caller is routed directly to voicemail.

External Restrictions

Control telecom expenses by restricting external transfers and conferences.

Cisco Spark administrators can control how users perform call transfer and conference when external parties are involved. Settings can be at the user or organization level.

Call Pickup

Answer calls on behalf of colleagues with call pickup groups or BLF pickup by using speed dial buttons. Administrators configure pickup setting from Cisco Spark Control Hub.

Incoming calls are presented on the designated speed dial button with a flashing LED and an audible indicator. Anyone in the group can pickup a call for others in the group by pressing the speed dial button. If multiple calls are ringing, you’ll answer the call that’s been ringing the longest.
