Cisco XRv
How to use IOS XRV with GNS3 First step will be to download XRV. You can just go through the forum and look for the image files. Before
downloading, make sure you have following installed and running on your computer:
  Oracle VM Virtualbox
  GNS3
UD Web-IOU (If you want to integrate IOU with XR routers!)
Once you have these thing ready, open the virtualbox:
Click on “New” button & Enter details as given below:

Select RAM Size to 3GB (recommended). I am using 2GB and working well for me:
Continue as shown below:

Cheers! Your First XR is ready to run.. Wait.. Before we move on, let’s  tweak some parameters for optimal
performance:

You can also disable the audio:

Configure all network adaptors as shown below:
Follow the same for Adaptor 3 & 4.

Click Machine and make clone for as many XR routers as you want:
Enter the name for New router and make sure you check reinitialize MAC address to avoid MAC address
conflicts later on:
Proceed as below:
Now create as many clones as you want. I needed 4 routers, So I added 3 more clones:

Let’s connect two XRs back to back and test layer 2/3 reachability:
Open GNS and click preferences:

In the VirtualBox Guest tab, add all the XR routers you have created in your VirtualBox, change number of
NICs to 6 (1 Management and 5 Gig interfaces), or you change as per your requirement:

Remember: Any two devices you connect in GNS3, will be connected using a Switch. I have imported XR1 and
XR2 routers:
In GNS3, e0 means Management and e1-5 will be your Gig Interfaces. Here I have connected interfaces
gi0/0/0/0 of both XRs with each other:

Test Layer2/3 connectivity from both sides:

How to Integrate IOS XRV with WEB-IOU Create a Netmap as shown below. You can keep device numbers whatever you want:
Eth 0 will be VMnet0, eth1 will be VMnet 1, eth2 will VMnet 2 and so on.
So, our IOU topology will look like:

Configure WEB-IOU VM as below:
So, Network Adaptor 2 will be VMnet 1 and Network Adaptor 3 will be VMnet2:

Now in GNS3, connect XR routers with Clouds (As I mentioned earlier, everything should be connected via
Switch):
XR1: gi0/0/0/0 Connected to XR2: gi0/0/0/0
XR1: gi0/0/0/1 Connected to VMnet1
XR2: gi0/0/0/1 Connected to VMnet2
IOU-R1: eth0/0 Connected to VMnet1
IOU-R2: eth0/0 Connected to VMnet2

Let us test XR connectivity with IOU Devices:
