Negotiated Contract with Simon Wong Engineering for Construction Management and Inspection Services $1,999,949.71

Term of the contract services from February 2014 through December 2015 for a total of 23 months.

Simon Wong reviewed submittals and changes to the plans prior to the start of construction as intended under the original scope of work.  They removed their team for several months when construction activity stopped, but did continue providing construction management support by reviewing additional changes to the project.

Length of contract services extended to December 2016 for a revised total of 36 months.   The negotiated increased amount of $493,160.88 represents 24% of the current contract, but is still within the budgeted amount approved by City Council for the project.

The revised total contract is now:  $2,493,110.59

Incurred costs are based upon actual expenditures.

Simon Wong Engineering will continue to provide Construction Management and Inspection Services that include:

• Review of change order requests• Resolution of claims• Processing monthly progress payments• Inspection of the bridge, road and landscaping

Anticipated Construction Completion is October 2016
