A new And improved moonlight BeAch is

coming this mAY!

For project information and photos, visit www.encinitascA.gov orwww.Facebook.com/encinitasparksandrec

The Moonlight State Beach Improvement Project began Sept 4th, and crews have been working hard ever since to give Moonlight Beach a whole new look.

The concession stand and restrooms have been removed, and a combined 3,600 square foot restroom/concession building is taking shape, and will be tucked into the existing slope below the parking area. Additionally, a brand new 950 square-foot lifeguard storage garage is being built near the existing lifeguard tower. The top of the garage will serve as a public overlook area.

Shuffling the facilities around will result in more recreational space and add a paved ADA accessible walkway around the iconic palm tree on the beach. Also the fire pits will be relocated and ADA accessible. A lot of thought and design has gone into the design of the facilities and aesthetics. A big goal of the project is to have a natural fit and feel in the cove and to look great!

We hope you enjoy the new facilities at Moonlight Beach.
