First and foremost, thank you for your faith in me and the support. I am excited with this new responsibility and have been working hard to fulfill my promises of improving the lighting situation on the main street and in our neighborhoods. As I have shared with the California Energy Commission, bright streets are safe streets and healthy streets! Everybody prefers and deserves to walk down a street where they can see where they are going and not be fearful of the unexpected. The other project that is a priority is the Plaza. This project will be a jewel that all generations in our families will be able to enjoy, together. We are one community, a family of families. To strengthen that means peace, pride and progress. I intend to become available soon to share my full vision for our community that has been pieced together with your recommendations to make Huron safer, beautiful and uplifting to all. I would love your support on these and other important issues, future projects (clean ups, murals and tree plantings) and in improving processes that can make our city more efficient and effective. This support includes attending our city council meetings and traveling to Sacramento to contin- ue the struggle for our School District and High School (we’ll keep you posted!). In achieving the creation of our own human development institution means academic advancement for our children and empowerment of our families. Please say ‘Hi’ when you see me around town biking, walking, cruising or shopping. Please keep on sharing your concerns, recommen- dations and your dreams. Thank you and see you soon!
