Erin brings to the position extensive experience in strategic communication and public affairs issue management. This new position allows the City to develop a long-term communications strategy while still attending to the immediate, day-to-day inquiries in a new Media Relations Manager position. Erin comes from a distinguished background serving as Executive Vice President at global public relations agency, Hill + Knowlton Strategies. In her former agency leadership roles, she gained a decade of experience in research-driven corporate reputation management, message development, crisis communications and media relations. As Director of Public Affairs for the City of Albuquerque, she will be responsible for the development and implementation of the City of Albuquerque’s communications strategy and objectives. To handle the day to day media requests, Rhiannon Schroeder has been promoted to Media Relations Manager. Rhiannon is a Communications graduate from the University of New Mexico with 2 years in experience in the Mayor’s Office with Constituent Services, and Communication. For the past 5 months Rhiannon has served at the Mayor’s Communications Coordinator, handling the everyday media requests, and the coordination of the Mayor’s Press Conferences. ###
