Riobamba is an Ecuadorian city, also called: Sultana de los Andes", It is located in the center of the country, at 2,750 mts of altitude in the Andes mountain.

Location

The city was founded in August 15, 1534 close to Colta's lagoon, being the first Spanish foundation in the Ecuadorian territory, but, it is destroyed completely, after a devastating earthquake in 1797 year and changes positions 6 months after, to the place that he occupies today.
