achieved. To help students who are doing exams in their preparation

for the aural section of the exam we will be offering an aural

preparation class in the second half of term 2. Please contact the

Australian Brass Quintet

Five of Australia’s finest brass players come together to perform with exceptional artistry. The Australian

Brass Quintet are dedicated to presenting creative and engaging programs including established

masterpieces, innovative new works for the modern brass quintet and collaborations with local and

international artists. The ABQ is a unique Australian

ensemble sought after for commissions, festivals,

recordings, collaborations and residencies. They are

passionate about the future of brass music in Australia

which they foster by championing new works, presenting

education programs and residencies, and mentoring young

professional musicians. From the electrifying rhythms of

Bernstein’s West Side Story to the reflective songs of love

and loss by sixteenth century Spanish composer Juan de

Encina, Street Song is a celebration of songs popular and

little known from around the world and across the ages.

With commentary by the performers this is a unique evening that will have something for everyone.
