All students are now in their new classes and very excited. Reminders: To keep our students safe please ensure all students enter and exit the school by the top gate unless they are catching a bus where the teacher on duty will walk students to the bus gate. The school carpark is for staff only. There will be NO whole school assembly this week due to the setup of the Book Fair in preparation for Tuesday. Year 4 excursion to Brewongle payments need to be completed by the end of the term. If you need to organise a payment plan please see Miss Kath in the office. Netwaste Raglan Public School recently participated in NetWaste’s Primary Schools Waste Education Program. The program is part of Council’s waste education strategy, aiming to engage with the next generation to encourage awareness about waste management and minimisation for a more sustainable future. Stage 2 participated in the “It’s a Wormy World” session. This activity-based session was delivered by an experienced environmental educator in a fun and interactive manner. Students were introduced to worm farming as an alternative method for the disposal of organic waste. Through hands-on activities, students discovered how worms feed, eat, move and live in a worm farm. PRINCIPALS RECOGNITION Working together as partners in the education of your child. PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Thank you to everyone for the smooth transition of class changes on Monday. All students are now in their new classes and very excited. Reminders: To keep our students safe please ensure all students enter and exit the school by the top gate unless they are catching a bus where the teacher on duty will walk students to the bus gate. The school carpark is for staff only. There will be NO whole school assembly this week due to the setup of the Book Fair in preparation for Tuesday. OUR STUDENTS OF THE WEEK Our Students of the week are: Charlie Miller and Cooper Smith for consistent high achievement; Indi Carter, Max Carter and Indi Eppleston for being a fantastic helpers at the District Swimming Carnival; Violet Gelling for her mature and responsible attitude to learning; Carter Akroyd for improvement in all areas; Claire Wilson and Sonny Stark for being a thoughtful, inquisitive contributor at NewWaste and Ozi Salman for making a big effort to improve. Zara Harvey and Maddyson Fletcher collected the shield on behalf of 3/4 Indigo.

Learning for Life

Do you have a health care or pension card? If so your

child is eligible for the Learning for Life

program. This is an initiative recently

offered to Raglan PS families to support

children to reach their full potential by

supporting their education from primary

through to post school studies. Further

information is listed below. If you are

eligible please contact the school office for a referral

form.

Bathurst Hockey Association

Boys and girls aged 4-18yrs are invited to come and try

hockey on Friday 6th, 20th and 27th March 2020. Bring a

stick, shin pads, mouthguard and a friend. If you don’t

have any equipment you can borrow on the night

however, you MUST have a mouthguard. Learn the

basics of trapping, dribbling and hitting and then play a

game. Arrive at 5.30pm for a 6pm start followed by a free

sausage sizzle after the game.

LIBRARY NEWS

Book Fair excitement is building with students gaining the opportunity to go into the draw for a $10 voucher to spend at the fair. One student from each class will be drawn on the day. The Very Cranky Bear will be here to present our vouchers so lock the 10th March in your calendar and come celebrate not only the Book Fair but also Grandparent’s Day.
