Ever since denim looks started their triumphal march around the world their
production has been really complex: Cotton yarns are dyed with indigo in
ring dyeing and woven in a twill weave. Mechanical and enzymatic oxidising
treatments are additionally effected to brighten or bleach the material.
White, coloured, silver, gold and glitter effects give every jeans look a grand
appearance. With TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 creativity in fi nishing will be
unlimited.
COLOURED AND WHITE PRINTS
TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 + TUBILAC 55 NF / TUBIPRINT WEISS 500 NF
The effects are pre-printed and then crossprinted wet-on-wet with TUBISCREEN
INDIGO SPEC 100. The fi xed prints can be emerised and bleached with organIQ
or fi nished in the stonewash process with DENIMCOL CLEAN either as piece or
as garment.
METALLIC PRINTS
TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 + TUBISCREEN SILVER / TUBISCREEN
GOLD / TUBIPERL SILVER / TUBIPERL ME 115
In combination with indigo the metallic effects give the classic denim look an
exclusive touch. The aftertreatment, stonewash process and bleach with organIQ
must be adjusted to the printed material.
”ORIGINAL DENIM“ PRINTS
TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 + TUBIFIX P 70 / TUBASSIST FIX 120 W
For achieving print designs in the “Original Denim Blue” the stability of
TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 can be increased by adding formaldehyde-
free fi xing agents. The colours remain brilliant and intense since the indigo dye
is stabilised towards external impacts. This becomes effective in mechanical
treatments, in oxidative cleavage as well as in daily use.
COLOURED PRINTS
TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 + colour pigments
Blends of indigo pigments with common coloured pigments are particularly
interesting since they are stable to oxidative impacts. The shade remains intense
even after bleaching. Signs of daily wear off become visible.
PERFECT EFFECTS
Ring dyeing process
In the ring dyeing process the yarn
outside is dyed with indigo, whereas
the yarn core remains white.
“Salt & Pepper” effect
A warp yarn dyed blue and a white
weft yarn take turns but the dyed
threads on the outside are dominating.
Is this process too complex for you?
Just tread a new path with a sustainable printing technique.
TRUE JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL
No matter if washed out, vintage or used looks – with the real indigo pigments of
TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 typical denim effects can be perfectly produced
in printing for authentic and sustainable looks.
Smart indigo printing
Materials printed with TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100 react exactly like cotton with
indigo ring dyeing. In combination with organIQ, the ecological bleaching system of
the CHT Group, you will achieve fashionable indigo looks in textile printing which help
you save costs, time and resources.

VERSATILE MOTIFS
Would you like to print fi ne motifs in large areas? So-called resist prints can be simply
and expressively produced with the indigo print paste. The formaldehyde-free resist
print paste, e.g. TUBISCREEN GD BASIC FF is pre-printed and then crossprinted
with TUBISCREEN INDIGO SPEC 100.
INDIGO WITH VARIOUS COLOUR INTENSITY

The pastes can be blended at any ratio to produce light-coloured indigo effects or
dyed with common pigments. Yellowing caused by oxidation with light and air can
be minimised by using a suffi cient binder quantity.

INHERENT CHARACTER
Bleached washed out jeans are among the favourite basics in our
wardrobe. This patina is also considered as an inherent property in
the printing technique with true indigo because the dye is oxidatively
decomposed through air oxygen.
The customer’s development department must check how much indigo
in the product reacts to nitrogen oxides and ozone in the air. Yellowings
caused by water, light and air can be easily washed out again but the
shades will be slightly pulled down.
