December is already upon us and we only have a few short weeks of school before the winter holidays!
We will be extra busy during this time preparing for the holidays, making gifts, and having fun.
Our class theme this month will be Joy to the World. We will spend time talking about the holidays, caring
and kindness, and winter.
Some of the concepts and skills we will be introducing include:
Color: Green
Shape: Star
Number: 4
Community Helper: Mike the Mail Carrier
Nursery Rhymes: Star Light, Star Bright & Little Jack Horner
Books: The Gingerbread Man, Bear Stays Up & Dream Snow
We have many exciting programs and events at our school during the month of December. Please check
your Bowman newsletter for a complete list! We will have two class parties: our class party will be Thursday,
December 17. Lunch will be served and will last from 10:45-11:30. Please remember that on Friday,
December 18 Bowman Academy will close at 12:00 for our Winter Break. There will be no aftercare available
on this date.
The weather is very unpredictable in temperature and most of the change of clothes we have in the cubbies
are shorts and short sleeve shirts. Please send in a change of winter clothes for us to keep for your child.
Also, please label your child’s jacket with their name.
We would like to close by wishing you all a wonderful and safe holiday! It has been wonderful getting to know
all of you. Your children are “our” little angels. Thank you for letting us share in their growth and learning.
