Classroom News
• Pre-Kindergarten: We are learning about Saint Therese of Liseux and her little way. What better way to find out how to be an everyday hero? Next week we begin our letter study with the letter “M”. In Science we will be learning about how apples grow. Pre-K parents, please sign out your student when you pick them up from the classroom. Please also be sure that anyone picking up your student is on the pick-up list.
• Kindergarten: Kindergarten is learning a new prayer: “Dear Jesus, I give you today. All that I think and do and say. I’ll work and laugh, have fun and play. Jesus be with me all through the day and night.
• Grade 1: This week Grade One
has been busy reviewing our Kindergarten skills. We have also been doing Apple related activities. We are doing a scientific observation for our Science lesson.

Classroom News • Grade 2: We’re off to a great start!
We’ll be finishing up initial assessments and have started to settle into our daily routines. Remember that students need to read 5 times a week for 15 minutes. Make sure to write it on the reading log and initial it.
• Grade 3: Pokemon cards have become a distraction. Please talk to students about leaving them in their backpack until recess or they will be turned into the office. Also, students are required to read 15-20 minutes each night. After finishing a book, students will complete a book report.
• Grade 4: We have been working hard! We have been reviewing and talking about Summer Reading. We have also entered the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
Classroom News • Middle School Health class is
beginning their unit on nutrition and discussing ways to keep their bodies healthy with the food and drinks they consume every day!
• Physical Education is focusing on team building through lots of fun games!
• Grade 8: We will begin selling ice cream this week to fundraise for the class trip and other expenses. Popsicles-75 cents, Other choices- $1.00.
• Homework Club: Students that attend Homework Club must be working on their homework. If a student does not have homework, they need to report to Afterschool Care. Students that are not picked up after Homework Club is over at 3:30 will attend Afterschool Care and be charged accordingly until they are picked up.
Stop & Shop A+ Rewards Stop & Shop provides reward money to schools who register for their program. Parents, relatives, friends, neighbors only have to register their Stop & Shop card on the website and St. Teresa School will automatically receive cash rewards at the end of each month. There is an instruction sheet attached to this newsletter. What an easy way to earn money for the school, just do your normal grocery shopping!
