Preparation Training

The task of the expatriates is very challenging – after all, they set up the link between the parent company and the branch abroad. The success of the foreign activities actually depends on the competencies and skills of the expatriates. Therefore, companies need to be able to rely on the employees they send abroad.

Optimal preparation for the target country The expatriates are prepared for their stay abroad both with regard to personal and professional matters. The training sessions take one to two days and range from individual to family and kids trainings.

Assistance in the overall expat life cycle The employees can choose to be mentored during their entire stay abroad e.g. through coaching sessions and online products. Also they will be prepared for their return to the homeland, if desired.

Costumized selection of trainers and country experts The choice of the trainers depends not only on their country expertise, but also on the professional background of the expatriates and their branch skills. The country experts are chosen accordingly. (See more on p. 7)

Coaching

Unfortunately, not all changes that occur during international activities can be anticipated. However, such difficulties can gradually and effectively be reduced by means of assisted coaching.

The benefits: The coachee learns how to deal with changing circumstances and how to use his own potentials. He reduces his personal stress, gains scope for his own actions, becomes more efficient and saves time, money and nerves. Classroom coaching

The benefits: The expatriate is actively supported while abroad. This ensures that he applies his capabilities to solve problems and to develop skills that allow him to find solutions of his own accord in the future.

The coaching is held by Skype or telephone. The price for the Preparation Training.Plus is the same as for an ordinary preparation training. The overall number of hours is divided into the preparation training and the virtual coaching hours.

Executive Briefing

A presentation in Brazil, a negotiation in Russia, a visit from China: when working with foreign business partners on a specific task a short and targeted briefing on processes and methods can be very useful. Thereby, the focus is on the cause of the meeting and the participants receive directly applicable tips and recommendations.

Executive briefings can be held both as a classroom training and as a virtual training.

Executive Briefings are short and targeted, and therefore, cost effective and efficient.

Teambuilding

When international teams are set up, often completely different worlds and approaches collide. Hence, these are perceived as disturbing factors by the individual team members when cooperating.

Solution: In a country-specific training that takes place previous to the cooperation it is possible to talk about “the others” in a relaxed way. The culturally defined approaches are studied in a so-called "dry run".

Subsequently the strategies for working together are set during a jointly held workshop.

This kind of approach has proven extremely successful, i.e. talking to each other instead of about one another!
