Indiana Code § 5-11-5-1 provides “[t]he attorney general shall diligently institute and prosecute civil proceedings against the delinquent officer, or upon the officer’s official bond, or both, and against any other proper person that will secure to the state or to the proper municipality the recovery of any funds misappropriated, diverted, or unaccounted.” Formal demand is hereby made on you for the sum of $6,074.96. You may discharge this obligation by remitting to this office the money in the form of a cashier’s check or money order made payable to the “STATE OF INDIANA”.
