Cleaning With Essential OilsTired of all those harsh cleaning chemicals?You don't have to put up with them! Try using essential oils to clean with instead, they work great and smell nice, too.

Mix any of these oils together to make your own cleaning spray. (Sprays = 30 drops essential oil to 2 oz purified water)

Recipes - Room Disinfectants8 drops Lemon5 drops Pine Needle2 drops Wild Oregano

(Softer floral aroma)8 drops Lavender Fine5 drops Thyme Linalol2 drops Wild Oregano

Mix with 8 fl. oz. purified water in a spray bottle (shake before using). Mist into air as needed or spray on counters or other non-wood surfaces and wipe clean. Cutting board disinfectant – Blend 2 tablespoons of salt with 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Add water until paste forms, and then mix in 2 drops of thyme oil. Rub into cutting board and let sit one hour. Rinse well.

Polish, mirrors – 1 cup of water1 cup of white vinegar1 tsp. of rubbing alcohol 20 drops of clove oil, or tea tree oil.Mix together.Application: Apply on damp cloth, wipe mirrors with damp cloth, and then wipe mirror dry. Get Rid of Cockroaches – 10 drops Peppermint oil5 drops Cypress oil1/2 cup waterMix in a spray bottle, and spray.

Hand Sanitizer -30 drops Young Living Thieves Oil2 oz Aloe Vera gelMix together in a 2 oz lotion bottle.

Toilet Cleaner – 4 TBSP baking soda4TBSP vinegar2 tsp orange oil2 tsp grapefruit oil4 cups waterMix all ingredients in a 4-cup measuring cup or a bowl. When you mix the vinegar and baking soda, it will foam. Let stand for 10 minutes before pouring into a spray bottle. Spritz and scrub with a brush.

Shoe Deodorizer – 6 measuring TBSP cornstarch2 ½ measuring TBSP baking soda18 drops tea tree oil 21 drops rosemary oil 7 drops lemon oil6 drops clove oil
