SESSION 2020-21

CLEANLINESS WEEK

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Clean India Mission was a country-wide

campaign initiated by the Government of India from 2014 to 2019, to

eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste management in

urban and rural areas.

With this motive of keeping “India Clean”, ITL Candyfloss organised

Cleanliness Week. Imbibing principles of good health & hygiene was

the aim of this week. Parents too joined hands with teachers in

escalating the message of keeping ourselves and our surroundings

clean.

DAY 1 - POSTER MAKING ACTIVITY

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness”

The students of ITL

CANDYFLOSS expressed their

imaginations and thoughts

through the “Poster Making

Activity” with a message of

“Swachh Bharat, Swasth

Bharat”. To make their posters

look more creative and unique,

they used waste materials like

toffee wrappers, broom sticks,

dried leaves, twigs,

matchsticks,

crayon shavings etc.

DAY 2 - SLOGAN RECITATION

To lay the foundation and

inculcate the principles of

Cleanliness in our children's

young minds, we conducted

a Slogan Recitation Activity

on the same theme. Children

spoke various slogans like:

ITL Candyfloss ka

naara

Desh hamara bane pyaara

DAY 3 - NUKKAD NATAK

Nukkad Natak or

Street Theatre

is a form of theatrical

performance and presentation

in outdoor public spaces.

To spread the awareness of

Cleanliness amongst people,

our students showcased

“Nukkad Natak”

with full enthusiasm and zeal.

DAY 4- QUIZ

A quiz is a fun mind sport. The students were truly delighted

to do this activity on the last day

of Cleanliness week. Teachers

asked various interesting questions

related to Swachh Bharat

Abhiyaan, its tag line, logo, the

inspiration behind launching the

campaign. Questions related to

personal hygiene were asked as

well. The motto behind the

conduction of this activity was

fulfilled as each child was able to

understand the role and need of

Cleanliness in his/her life.
