Click Create button on top right -
Import UDM template for databases to be monitor..
Click Setup Monitoring Templates Click Create
Select Target type Database instance
Select the database where UDM was created under
Click Select
Click Metric Thresholds change view to Metrics with thresholds locate UDM template that was
created for database
Click OK
Click Apply
Click ADD
Select the database for template to be imported
Click Select
Click Continue
Set the credentials for all databases
Click Finish
Under “Pending Apply Operations” we should see databases to be added
Click 4 in this case
Once all jobs execute successfully UDM should be imported for all databases that were selected -
Setup alert notification –
Click Setup Notification Methods
Click Test OS command
Select Preferences --> Rules
select Metrics
Click ADD
Search for “User-Defined”
Click on Torch light
Click “Critical and Warning”
Click Continue and browse to see UDM rule added part of notification rule set.
Click Actions Click Check box Assign Method to Rule Click Check box Send Repeat Notifications
Click OK and now we should see customized notification –
