Dear Welcome to the years first Climate-KIC newsletter. From everyone at Climate-KIC, we wish youall a very happy 2014.

As we go to press, the new Greenhouse Team @Green Garage in Berlin has officially began today.

More Greenhouse news will be announced in the coming months.

Student Stories:Peter Ills-Boldt, Journey alumni from 2012, has continued our student

stories series with ablog post about his recent mobility experience at

McGill University, Canada. He blogs about his experiences of studying

the climate impact of BRIC economies and the challenges of the supply

side of carbon based energy resources.

Berlin held its first PhD boot camp which saw 18 participants from across German and Sweden pitchtheir PhD thesis research idea.

Their pitches were graphically interpreted by a local designer, Sophia Halamoda [main picture] who

will digitalise them once she recovers from a recent hand injury (we wish her a speedy recovery). You
