    Wind Speed

    In general , the average wind speed that f low at the

    Seberang Jaya Area is 24 mph/ 10.72 mps/ 21knots.

    I t reach the comfort zone where the most acceptable

    wind speed is 1.5 mps and above. Consideration onhumidity level is a part of factor in reaching a better

    comfort level which must be between 30% to 65%. Yet,

    the humidity level on site is 74%.

    Based on the Beauforts Scale table, it shows that the wind speed flowingthrough the Seberang Jaya Market site is fresh breeze where the wind are

    able to sway a tree.

    This can be conclude where t he wind speed f lowed onto the site is at

    moderate speed where the wind is able to perform good venti lation in

    the market design. Besides, the wind speed can overcome the hottemperature during the afternoon period by adding more trees as shading

    devices and create a relevant opening into the market design in order to

    gain better venti lation.
