Learning about climate science and climate change issues by completing a Climate Stewardship Project.

Competing in an nationally recognized competition to propose, research and complete a project that will benefit the environment.

About the Competition • Siemens We Can Change The World Step #1: Identify issue in environment of concern

More and more energy is being used by electronic devices such as laptops and cellphones. At our school, electrical energy is created from burning fossil fuels at a local power plant. Therefore, learning with technology contributes to greenhouse gases.

The increased amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has been linked to the Earth's warming climate.

About the Competition

• Siemens We Can Change The World Step #2: Propose a change that will make a difference.

We want to create a solar powered charging station in our school. This station will allow students to charge their personal electronics and laptops using renewable energy.
