Club Day

PARTICIPANTS - - - PLEASE READ It takes cooperation from everyone to make this event-filled day successful. These time frames are only estimated. Please try to work in your events in a timely matter. Check with the Judge’s Assistants and if no one is presenting feel free to go. Don’t keep judges sitting and waiting on presentations. *Pictures for the newspaper will be taken throughout the morning. *The judges will already have your score sheets. Results and presentation of ribbons will take place in the IDL room at the end of all events. If you receive a Top Blue or Alternate Top Blue you may be eligible to compete at Regionals on March 17th in Madison. Remember we are guests of Burlington Elementary School and let's make sure we leave it as clean and neat as possible, and do not disturb anything in the classrooms. Enter the School through the east doors. Make sure all areas are cleaned up after each presentation. Reminders - NO hay/straw, or guns allowed in school. NO animals allowed without prior approval and arrangements. No practice piano will be available. The east/west hallway, past the gym will have designated areas for each club. Look for your sign. Room numbers indicated in this program are subject to change.

******REMINDER****** We are using time frames again this year instead of scheduled time slots so that the 4-Her’s can do their events at any time during the day in that time frame that works best for them. There is no set order to follow. However, we plan to finish within the allotted time frame! Don’t keep judges waiting!

Judges Assistant Duties

1. Introduce yourself to the judge and explain that you will assist them in any way they request.

2. Check periodically with judges to see if they need a break or refreshments.

3. Try at all times to keep the event moving. 4. Make sure the 4-Her knows how to use the easel, and assist

the 4-Her if necessary. Help hold posters if they fall down. 5. Close and guard the door so nobody interrupts the 4-Her

while they are presenting. 6. Open the door after the speaker is finished so the public

understands that they may enter.
