Getting Ready for Kinder It's such an exciting time for our school and for our new families as we welcome our new Kindergarten students. Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending time with the students and their families. I want to congratulate the teachers, front office staff, P&C and our outstanding students for their organisation of this event. I know that our new families felt safe, welcomed and valued.

Marli & Cheyenne Shine Today I am attending the Central Region Indigenous Education Awards

Ceremony to watch Marli receive her leadership award. It is a huge honour for Marli and our school. We are so proud of her and Cheyenne. Cheyenne Baker also received three awards for sports, leadership and participation but unfortunately she is off at Nationals! We are all thinking of her and wishing her the best of luck.

improvement in students wearing uniforms for our school. To ensure we are giving ample notice to families we are advising that next year (before the end of term 2) we will be requiring all students to be in full school uniform. If you are making purchases for next year or during next year for your child it would be wise to purchase the uniform when you are spending that money anyway. Boys - Red & white school shirt, black

shorts, white socks and black shoes.

Girls - Red & white school shirt, black culottes or shorts, white socks, black shoes

Sports - Red & white school shirt and black shorts, white socks and joggers

Winter - Red & white school shirt, black long pants and red V neck jumper or zip-up jacket, white socks and black shoes (Black joggers are fine.)

Hats - Black school bucket hat (available at office). Hats are a compulsory part of our uniform.

We have a

“No Hat No Play”

Policy. Suppliers Red & white school shirts are available for purchase through the school P&C uniform shop at a cost of $22. They range in size from 4 to 16. (They are small sizes. Larger sizes available on request). Please ask at the office. Black school shorts are available for

purchase through the school P&C uniform shop at a cost of $20. They range in size from 2 to 16 youth. (They are a generous fit).

The P&C has a lay-by system

in place and you can pre-order

your uniforms if you wish. Black culottes and shorts are also available from Big W, Best & Less and Target in Coffs Harbour at around $10 for shorts and $17 for the culottes. The T-Shirt Shop in Nambucca Heads can also supply most uniform items. School Jumpers and Jackets can also be ordered on the Winter Uniform Order Form during Term 1.

We are not concerned if you choose to buy shorts without the logo but they need to actually be shorts or skirts and be black in colour. Socks will be white and shoes will be black. If the shoes are not completely black that will be fine also. Congratulations on your effort so far with uniform. Preparations for this special evening are well under way.
