Mission
Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well‐being.
By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

* start at 30’ & progressively walk back to 45’, completing throws at variable distances until 10 throws have been completed.

Checks
Safety Requirements
• Establish safety routines! (eg no swinging bats until in batter’s box)
• Saturday’s equipment distribution included first aid kit
• Ice is always available in Snack Shack
• Instant ice bags in Majors Scorebooth
Safety Requirements
• Call 911 in case of an emergency
• In case of all significant injuries, notify the Safety Manager (Mike Rubino) and President (Terence Fox). The President has to fill out a form notifying Little League about broken bones, dislocations, concussions and lacerations needing stitches.
• Coaches need to go directly to the parents in case of injury
Concussions
• Please learn the symptoms of a possible concussion.
• When in doubt sit them out.• Notify Parents immediately.• Must be cleared by a medical professional.• Training available via wgll.org ‐> coaches ‐> concussions. (Provided by CDC)

Safety Requirements
• The Snack Shack has an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Umpires & Training
• Majors will provide umpires for AAA games.• AAA will provide umpires for Major games.• AA will provide umpires for AAA games.• A will provide umpires for AA games on Saturdays.• AA games Home team must provide umpire for plate, weeknight.

• All, remember why you are out there.
• Check equipment before games.
• Have a great plate meeting.
• Learn the rules.
Equipment Requirements
If there's a bat and kids, kids need a batting helmet or catchers helmet.
• Major Field– For practice,
• Use the field tarp to put over infield to help prevent divots remove tarp after every practice
• Drag the field after every practice• L Screen must be locked , code is 186 , code is also on key hang from the shed on the field
• Cover Pitchers Mound and home plate• Lock all dug outs and cage• Make sure Iron Mike is covered and Cage balls picked up and put under Cover , If you used bow net or pitching machine please put away
• When locking shed make sure side door has both latches closed
Majors Field Set‐up and Clean‐up
Majors Field Set‐up and Clean‐up
• Major Field– Set up for Game
• Remove covers from Home Plate and Pitcher's Mound and open dug outs, Turn on score board , switch located in Umpire locker
• Turn water on infield dirt with remote control ( remote control in 1st bags dug out behind door) for about 1‐2 mins "Zone 1 "
• Drag field then Chaulk only on Dirt "Absolutely no Chalk ON GRASS"• Place bases• Use Paint Spray for the Grass foul line , Located in Shed• If the field is muddy use "Turf Us" to help dry up , Extra turf us in main shed and chalk as well
• At the end of game drag field cover Home Plate and Pitcher's mound and turn on infield dirt Sprinklers for 2‐3 mins
• Make sure everything is locked up, score booth , cage, dugouts and all gates

• Once practice or game is over put all items away, drag the field and turn water on after for 2‐3 mins
