5. RESEARCH AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES Current Research For nearly 25 years scholarly activities have focused, in general, on visitor

experiences, wilderness recreation, and recreation resource management. Recent projects have included serving as the PI for the 2008 and 2012 California Outdoor Recreation Public Opinions & Attitudes Survey, collaborating with other faculty in the department on a USFS sponsored project connecting youth with nature through social media, and a visitor use study for the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection.
