When listening to the episodes in the Podcast app, the app may give you an error stating “Unable to Authorize,” as it is trying to sync the podcast. To disable this message, please see our

Initial Setup of the Coast to Coast AM Podcast for iTunes 11 • If needed, download and install iTunes 11 for PC or Mac from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ Note: If a previous version of iTunes is installed, please run Apple Software Update instead.

To start the update, go to the “Help” menu and select “Check for Updates.” • Once installed, launch iTunes 11 and follow the on-screen setup instructions. • When complete, go to: http://www.coasttocoastam.com

Note: Be sure you are logged into the website with your Coast Insider username and password. • In the blue Insider Audio box, click the link iTunes Podcast • This will automatically launch iTunes and auto-load the Coast to Coast AM Podcast feed into the Podcast section of iTunes.

Note: If auto-load does not occur within the iTunes player, go to the “File” menu and select “Subscribe to Podcast…” In the “Subscribe to Podcast” box, paste the following URL: http://rss.premiereradio.net/coast/podcast.xml

• Click OK.

• When prompted within iTunes, enter your Coast Insider username and password and checkmark “Remember password.” Note: Make sure you are entering your Coast Insider username and password, not your Apple ID, in these fields.

• The Coast to Coast AM Podcast will load into the Podcasts library in iTunes. Note: If this does not occur, choose the Podcasts option in the left dropdown menu

• For podcasts, iTunes has several category viewing options: Unplayed, Podcasts, & List2 (Unplayed will only appear after

more than one hour has been downloaded). Choose the one that best suits your needs. • Click on the Coast to Coast AM Podcast

3 in the left library pane.

• You will see one downloaded hour, plus the past 7 days of shows available for download.

Note: If you see only the single downloaded hour, you are likely in the Unplayed view. Switch to the Podcasts view and the previous 7 days of shows should appear.

• To download all hours available from the past 7 days, you must first switch to List view.

• Once in the List view, click the small black arrow to the left of the podcast subscription1 to see all the episodes. Then click

on the white arrow in the gray box to the right of the podcast subscription2 to download all the episodes.

• To download individual hours available from the past 7 days, click the white arrow in the gray box next to each hour listed3.

• While a file is downloading, a small gray circle will start to fill to the left of the name of the file. When the file has finished downloading, the circle will turn blue to indicate it is new and has not been listened to yet. After the file has been listened to, the circle will disappear altogether.

____________________________________________________ Setting up the iTunes Auto-Download Feature for the Coast to Coast AM Podcast

• Click the “gear” icon to the right of the podcast in the main Podcast library pane. • In the Podcast Settings box, we recommend the following settings:

� Check for new episodes: Every hour � Settings for: Coast to Coast AM Podcast � Use Default Settings: Unchecked � When new episodes are available: Download all � Episodes to keep: All episodes

• Click the OK button.

____________________________________________________ Playing the Coast to Coast AM Podcast Audio in iTunes 11 • To play the Coast to Coast AM podcast in iTunes, simply double-click on the file of choice to hear it. Alternatively, you may highlight the hour of choice by clicking on it once and then clicking the Play arrow button

podcast in the main library pane. Note: If you do not hear any audio, be sure the volume bar in iTunes 11 is positioned to the right

Also, verify that your computer system’s volume is up and speakers are on.

____________________________________________________ Syncing the Coast to Coast AM Podcast to your iPod, iPhone or iPad • Attach your iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad to your computer using your USB cable. • Click your device’s icon in the upper right side of the window

• Click the Podcasts tab

• Checkmark Sync Podcasts2. iTunes 11 will default to automatically include All Unplayed episodes of All Podcasts.

Change this setting to include All episodes of Selected Podcasts. (Note: You can also take this opportunity to customize this setting as you wish.) • Checkmark Coast to Coast AM Podcast

3. This will select all downloaded hours of the podcast.

• Click Apply4 in the bottom right hand corner of the main window. This will automatically sync these files to your iOS device.

Note: After this has been set up the first time, attaching your iPod to your computer will automatically sync all new downloads. Repeat the above step if the iPod is already attached to your computer.

• When ready to detach the iPod for listening, click the Eject5 icon next to your device’s name in the upper left corner. Note: For more information on syncing your iPod, iPhone or iPad, go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/.

____________________________________________________ Playing the Coast to Coast AM Podcast on your iPod, iPhone or iPad • To playback the Coast to Coast AM Podcast audio on your iPod, navigate to: Podcasts � Coast to Coast AM Podcast � (Podcast Hours) • Scroll to the hour of your choice and then click the center button to begin playback. • To playback the Coast to Coast AM Podcast audio on your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad, navigate to: Podcasts � Coast to Coast AM Podcast � (Podcast Hours) • Tap the hour of your choice for playback.

____________________________________________________ Frequently Asked Questions * Listing order of the Coast to Coast AM Podcast • In the List view, you can control the way iTunes categorizes the order of your items by Release Date, either oldest first or newest first. Do this by clicking the Release Date tab at the top of the iTunes Podcast category. • Within the iPod, the Coast to Coast AM Podcast is listed only in chronological order by date and hour, most recent first. You can create your own playlist in iTunes and arrange them in the order you wish to hear the show and then sync to your iPod.

Note: In the iPod, after you have completed playback of any given hour in the Podcast category, the iPod will take you back to the main Podcast menu. This is normal.

* No New Podcasts Downloading • If you have not accessed the Coast to Coast AM Podcast in iTunes for more than 5 days, iTunes will stop automatically downloading the podcast. To correct this and resume automatic downloads:

• Click the exclamation point (!) button to the right of the Coast to Coast AM Podcast feed

• When asked to resume this podcast, click the Yes button

• Click the Refresh button (arrow semi-circle) in the lower left corner of iTunes ____________________________________________________
