cobb school community events 2011-2012
DESCRIPTION
Parents need a loving and supportive community to help them with the important work of raising children. Children need a community that understands and supports them in their development. They need to see adults helping one another, working together for the greater good and having fun. Our Community Events calendar offers all of this. If you are a prospective parent and would like to join us for any one of our events, please call Sallie Ann Jacobs at 860-658-1144 ext. 107 to inquire.TRANSCRIPT
Dear Parents,
Children change our lives in a multitude of ways. When we
become parents, we naturally seek out other parents who
share the same values and aspirations that we have for our
children. We all need a loving and supportive community to
help us with the important work that we are doing for them
and for our society at large.
Our children also need a community that understands and sup-
ports them in their development. They need adults who will
understand them, even on a bad day. They need adults who
refrain from competition and who understand that each child
will develop at his or her own, unique timetable. They need to
see adults helping one another, working together for the
greater good, and also having fun.
We have many exciting events planned this year, and we truly
hope that you will take time out of your busy lives to partici-
pate and enjoy them. You may even find, as others have over
the last 38 years, that the relationships that you and your chil-
dren form at The Cobb School will last a lifetime.
Warmly,
Mary Lou
