The Cohesio Multifunctional in-line coating and printing equipment provides the capacity to:
■ Manufacture your own PS material
In this case, the liner, made of film or paper, is coated with silicone and adhesive and laminated with an unsupported non-printed facestock.
■ Manufacture your own PS labels using pre-printed facestock
In this case, an unsupported pre-printed facestock passes through the Cohesio to be transformed into self-adhesivelabel stock, die-cut and finished. ■ Manufacture your own rolls of PS labels with in-line printing

General process of the Cohesio
The facestock and the liner are placed on individual unwinding systems. The liner, made of fi lm or paper, is coated with silicone and adhesive before joining the facestock (pre-printed or not) in the lamination process. Any paper, fi lm, foil or board can constitute the facestock. Pressure sensitive material made in the fi rst pass can be used, instead of traditional facestock or liner, to create a piggy-back which can be printed on one or both sides. The possibilities are endless!

MINILINERTM
The Miniliner™ technology using fi lm or paper-based substrates is a valuable option that could be added to the existing Cohesio technology. Designed to substantially reduce release liner waste, the Miniliner™ technology concept is unique and simple. PS labels are manufactured from raw material to the fi nished product, down to a totally recyclable 12 micron (.48 mil) PET release liner or 30 gsm (20 lbs) paper release liner.

LINERLESS SOLUTIONSYears ago, ETI developed a linerless technology that no longer uses release liners as a carrier. In fact, there is no release liner during our printing process. For years, linerless technology was strictly used for hand applied applications.

ADHESIVE COATINGS
The ETI adhesive station is designed to coat on any type of fi lm including clear material for no label look applications. It is also suitable for any type of paper. The adhesive is heated and melted in the tank and pumped through hoses to the ETI coating head.
Standard hotmelt
The patent pending ETI hotmelt pattern adhesive unit is designed for easy, accurate and clean edge adhesiveapplications in pattern with a high running speed of 150 m/min (500 fpm) with high quality coating.
Pattern hotmelt
The Cohesio can be designed with a coating and curing system for UV curable pressure sensitive hotmelt based on acrylic, a special type of adhesive which combines the easy handling properties of hotmelt with the clean removability of acrylic.

The ETI emulsion acrylic adhesive station is designed to coat on any type of fi lm including clear material for no label look applications as well as for any type of paper. The adhesive is then cured in a horizontal arch gas dryer. Solvent-based adhesives and pattern coating applicationsare also possible with this coating station.

UNIQUE LABEL CONSTRUCTIONSUnique constructionsThe Cohesio technology allows for the production of high quality pressure sensitive material and for the creation of new and original constructions. For instance, washable labels which will allow you to replace ‘diffi cult-to-remove’ labels for the beverage market and access even more markets with wet-wipe repositionable labels.
Multi-ply labels represent an effi cient and unique label construction produced at high speed on a full web width. It allows for multicolor printing on each side of the multi-ply labels (under the silicone and under the adhesive) before the lamination in register.
