The department of Biomedical Instrumenta�on Engineering was established in 1996

and offers B.E. in Biomedical Instrumenta�on, M.E. in Medical Electronics and Ph.D

programme. The department has benefi�ed from linkages with mul�-specialty hospitals in

the region. MoUs have been signed with leading hospitals and industries to help students

gain prac�cal knowledge. The department has established AVIN-NI LabVIEW academy and is

authorized by M/s. Na�onal Instruments to provide training for in-house students as well as

students from other ins�tu�ons. The faculty u�lize this facility for research and academics.

This academy imparts global competency to students going abroad for higher educa�on.

industries, to nurture the crea�vity of students in Ar�ficial Intelligence through AI club and to help kindle

fascina�ng & new ideas to develop innova�ve AI/ Robo�cs related projects and prototypes leading to

innova�on and patents.

Department has an ac�ve student associa�on with Biomedical Engineering Society of India, Indian

Department of Civil Engineering

The department of Civil Engineering was established in 2012 and offers B.E in Civil Engineering and

also Ph.D. programme. The department is ac�vely involved in research ac�vi�es in the field of Structural

Engineering, Construc�on Management, Green Buildings, Energy and Environmental Engineering. The

department has a CSIR sponsored Research Lab catering to the needs of research and undergraduate

students. Faculty have also filed Patent for their innova�ve work. Civil Engineers are the need of the hour as

several infrastructure projects both in Public and private sectors are going on and also planned for the next

decade. The department is striving hard to prepare the Nextgen Engineers with knowledge of new

technologies and modern tools.

To encourage and expose the students to professionalism, a Students' Forum (ISF) of IETE (Ins�tu�on

of Electronics and Telecommunica�on Engineers) has been started by the department. ISF was set up in

School of Engineering in the year 2009. ISF organizes technical programmes and ac�vi�es regularly to

exchange ideas and informa�on on the topics of emerging trends and new development to nurture the

professional development of student members. ISF encourages teamwork and leadership through expert

Department of Printing Technology

The Department of Prin�ng Technology is one of the four departments,

formed during the incep�on of the Faculty of Engineering in 1996, with

AICTE approval. The Department offers bachelor's degree in Engineering &

Technology - B.E (Prin�ng Technology) with an annual sanc�oned intake of 20 students. Our Ins�tute is

one of the very few Ins�tutes in India offering a bachelor's degree in Prin�ng Technology and is the only

ins�tute offering it exclusively for women. This B.E programme is accredited by Na�onal Board of

Accredita�on under Tier 1.

Salient Features of U.G.Programme

The students are given hands-on training in the well-established laboratories of the department

and in the Prin�ng Presses available in both Campus I and Campus II. The Curriculum is based on Industry

demands and latest developments in this field, along with a flavour of prac�cal training. The core areas

scheme 2010-11, with an outlay of

Rs.7.05 lakhs. The aim of the cell is to create

innova�ve technology entrepreneurs of high order in

Higher Educa�on Ins�tu�ons and to include

Entrepreneurship as well as Innova�on as part of the

Science and Technology Programmes.

As per the MHRD mandate the youngsters

should become job providers rather than job seekers

through their innova�ve ideas. The EDC provides

ample opportuni�es to learn by doing through skill

development programmes and understand the

concept of Entrepreneurship in all programmes

through Awareness camps. Faculty members from

every department are trained in Entrepreneurship by

NSTEDB, Department of Science and Technology,

Government of India.
