During the course of his career, SFC Aleckna held numerous duty positions, including: infantryman, 1st Battalion 109th Infantry Regiment; Operations NCOIC, 55th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 28th ID; Task Force Steel (FWD) Liaison Officer, 1st Battalion 109th Infantry Regiment (CAB); Special Operations Forces Liaison Element, Special Operations Joint Task Force – Afghanistan; Saber Strike 18 (Lithuania) Project Officer, United States Army Europe; Senior Enlisted Advisor Area Support Group – Poland, 21st Theater Sustainment Command. SFC Aleckna also served in multiple leadership roles in support of the Global War on Terrorism combat operations, two tours Operation Iraqi Freedom; two tours Operations Enduring Freedom; and one tour Operation Freedom Sentinel Team 21, First in Support!
