The purpose of this pack is to update you on revisions to the organisational structure for MAG.

It will cover:

• The context for change• Overview of changes for impacted teams• New organisational structures• Next steps and where to go for more information

• In August last year, MAG announced the evolution of its operating model creating empowered airports with full control over the end-to-end customer journey and their profit and loss accounts.

• MAG is now entering the most transformational phase in its history with the Manchester and Stansted Transformation Programmes underway (MAN-TP and S-TP).

• Manchester and Stansted Airports need realigned leadership structures to support the development of MAN-TP and S-TP and provide the resilience required on projects of these scales. It will ensure we have the right experience in the right place to progress MAN-TP and S-TP and deliver the benefits and growth we want for MAG.

• The revised structure announced today strengthens our empowered airports with a focus on the continued delivery of a great service to our passengers, airlines, suppliers and other third parties.

• The Chief of Staff function will ensure that we have a robust long-term strategy for our business with our supporting functions set-up to meet the changing needs of the business.

• It will also place functions such as MAG-O and other pan-airport services at the core of our business to support future growth and development.

• Andrew Cowan is now in role as CEO of Manchester Airport. The Divisional CEO role will focus primarily on the delivery of growth with MAN-TP and exploiting new commercial opportunities.

• To create the bandwidth for this, a new role reporting to Andrew Cowan, will be created of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to focus on operational delivery and customer experience across the Airport.

• Tricia Williams, currently Group Organisational Development Director, will move to become Chief Operating Officer.

• Andrew Cowan will continue to oversee MAN-TP with Rob Stewart, MAN-TP Delivery Director and a new role of MAN-TP Business Change Director reporting directly into him.

• Ian Costigan, currently Customer Services & Security Director at Manchester Airport, will move to become MAN-TP Business Change Director.

• George Owens will continue to report directly into Andrew Cowan as MAN-TP Commercial and Contracts Director.

• Stephen Turner will report directly into Andrew Cowan as Commercial Director.

• The following functions will report into the Chief Operating Officer - Customer Services & Security, Operations, Asset Management and External Affairs.

• Supporting functions (e.g. HR and Finance) will be aligned to the revised operating model over the coming weeks

• Ken O’Toole is now in role as CEO of Stansted Airport. The Divisional CEO role will focus on the delivery of growth with S-TP and exploiting new commercial opportunities.

• To create the bandwidth for this, a new role, reporting to Ken O’Toole, will be created of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to focus on operational delivery and customer experience across the Airport.

• Brad Miller, currently MAN-TP Director, will move to become Chief Operating Officer.

• Ken O’Toole will continue to oversee S-TP with Paul Willis, S-TP Delivery Director and Martin Lyall, S-TP Business Change Director reporting directly into him.

• Martin Jones, Commercial Director, will shortly leave MAG following the end of his contract. Recruitment will commence shortly for a permanent Commercial Director who will report into Ken O’Toole.

• The following functions will report into the Chief Operating Officer - Customer Services & Security, Operations, Asset Management and External Affairs.

• Supporting functions (e.g. HR and Finance) will be aligned to the revised operating model over the coming weeks.

• The Chief Strategy Officer function will be renamed as Airport Services with Andrew Harrison becoming Airport Services CEO.

• Corporate Strategy will move to the Chief of Staff directorate. This will allow Airport Services to focus on exploring growth opportunities for MAG via developing new digital capabilities through MAG-O and exploring growth in new markets. Focus on international markets will also come into the Airport Services directorate.

• As Andrew focuses on new revenue and business growth, a new role of MD MAG-O will be created. Nolan Hough will be appointed with immediate effect into the role of MD MAG-O which will include accountability of digital technology, e commerce and product development.

• MAG US becomes part of Airport Services to align all of our international activities.

• There are no other proposed changes to other roles and teams – Customer Insights, Corporate Development and Escape Lounges.

• Collette Roche will shortly transition to become Chief of Staff. The Chief of Staff function will primarily be focussed on medium to long term corporate strategy and ensuring enabling functions are aligned to support the business.

• Collette Roche will oversee:

• New roles have been created for Group HR Director and Chief Information Officer (CIO). These are being recruited alongside the Engineering Services Director.

• The CIO role will include accountability for the Centre of Excellence.

• There are no changes in structure to Property, Corporate Affairs or East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports.

• There may be realignment to the revised organisational structure where necessary for Finance, Legal and HR.

• The revised structure for MAG will ensure we are best set-up to deliver continued excellence in our airports, realise the benefits from MAN-TP and S-TP and ensure we deliver further growth and development in the future.

• The revised structure will be implemented gradually over the coming weeks and months with people transitioning from their current roles and handing over where appropriate.
