Dear North Plainfield Resident:Please read both sides of the Collection Schedule carefully. This summer schedule outlines the Grass and Brush pickup dates by section for the months of May, June, July, and August.

NORTH PLAINFIELD BULK TRASH AND METAL PICKUP PROGRAM The Bulk Trash and Metal Pickup program are both on a one-time annual pickup schedule. Metal pickup remains free of charge. Bulk Trash Pickup has a $10.00 per item charge, up to $50.00 for the maximum of five (5) items. Completed applications for Bulk Trash PickUp will be accepted beginning mid-March through mid-April, Monday-Friday for April pickup Reservations for Metal pickup will be scheduled in August for September pickup. An application is required for Metal pick-up. Both Bulk Trash and Metal pickup will be on a first come first served basis. Time slots are limited.Collection will be random within each section. Items must be placed out at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your assigned collection date. Please note, BULK Pickup does not include metal. Metal has a separate pickup timeline. Any unauthorized items left at the curb that exceed the maximum allowed and/or that do not qualify as metal or bulk trash, must be removed by 6:00 p.m. on the day collection is made. Failure to comply will result in a violation as per Section 14-8.5 of the Borough Code.Applications for Bulk Trash are available at www.northplainfield.org or can be picked up at Borough Hall.

ALL COLLECTION ITEMS:Collection items will be picked up by Section according to the Borough of North Plainfield Collection Map. Please note that this schedule is subject to change.

• Materials must be placed out at curb by 7:00 a.m. on collection date.BULK TRASH (Pickup is in April):

• By appointment only.• Applications accepted mid-March through mid-April or until all reservations are filled.• Applications and reservations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.• $10.00 charge per item – up to a $50.00 charge for a maximum of 5 items.

METAL TRASH:• By appointment only.

• Reservations accepted August until all reservations are filled and are on a first come, first serve basis.• Pickup will be in the month of September

BRUSH:• 7 bundles maximum – cut to 4 feet and tied.• Not to exceed 50 lbs. per bundle.• Tree trunks, Stumps and limbs too large to bundle are not brush and will not be collected.

GRASS:• Loose in reusable containers. *NO MIXED MATERIAL OR BRUSH MIXED IN WITH GRASS.• Not more than 50 lbs. per container.• Maximum 3 containers.

COLLECTION GUIDELINES

LEAVES:. Loose and Bagged Leaves will NOT be Picked Up from May through September.
