• April 2014• ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 is released – Allowed for publishing Sync-enabled feature
services (unversioned)• December 2014

• January 2015• Collector 10.3 is released – Support for disconnected editing with versioned data• Requires ArcGIS Server 10.3
Beyond the Basics
• Taking Webmaps Offline • Building Tile packages• Subtypes and Domains• Editing Related Tables• Editing Versioned Feature Services• Other “cool” stuff
Taking Webmaps Offline
• Basemap needs to support downloading of tiles
• Esri basemaps or your own custom basemaps
• Sync-enabled feature service• Webmap enabled for offline use
Preparing a webmapfor offline use
Using Tile Packages
Subtypes and Domains
• Subtypes – apply to a single feature class• Domains – are a property of a geodatabase• Using subtypes means that you can use
different domains on the same field in one feature class
Publish your subtype and domain enabled feature layer
Simplified data collection
Why related tables?
• Relationships are important• Sometimes one location has many different
components• Utility drain – grate, pit, pipe
• Sometimes we need to inspect the same item many times
• Sometimes we need many inspections at different locations along the same feature
Related tables continued
• Create a relationship between hydrants and an inspections table (feature to table relationship)
• This case is 1:Many (Each hydrant can have many inspections)
• Collector supports three deep nested relationships (hydrant > inspections > infringements)
• Collector does not support Many:Many• Use the GlobalID field to create the relationship
Publishing related features
Authoring a webmapfor related records
Collecting related data
Working with Versioned Data
• ArcGIS for Server documentation “Offline maps and versioned data”
Why Versioning?
• Replication• Editing geometric networks• Working with complex data (such as parcel
fabrics)• Multi-user editing
Other “cool” stuff
• Customising the edit experience• Using feature templates• Managing your edit template online• Adding fields online• Using GNSS Receivers
• Collector is now more capable than ever and provides the workflow enhancements clients have been asking for
• Using pre-configured, industry specific templates means that you can get up and running quicker than ever.
• Using your own hosted tiles means that you can get those custom basemaps loaded onto your device even if your workforce is mostly disconnected.

Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS Monitor and manage
Navigator for ArcGIS Improved fleet performance
• Microsoft Platform Support• Windows Store and Windows Phone
• Improving and simplifying offline workflows• Better field planning capabilities in the platform• Better packaging and integration with ArcGIS Pro
• Integrates with Suite of Apps• Navigator, Explorer
• Location Awareness• Location Tracking, Geofencing Activities
• Smart Forms• Conditional logic, equations,
auto-population of values, improved form presentation
