MonteCielo coffee is a light coffee that comes from varieties such as Arabica and

Caturra. These plants are cultivated at 1,540-1,700 meters above sea level, on the

mountains of Filandia, in the Department of Quindio, on the Southwest of Colombia. The

quality of the coffee is due to the fact that its intense red beans are manually collected

and processed to preserve its typical delicate flavor and fine aroma.

Cafe MonteCielo es un cafe suave que proviene de variedades como Arabigo, y Caturra.

Estas plantas son cultivadas a una altura entre 1.540 a 1.700 metros sabre el nivel del

mar en las montanas del municipio de Filandia en el departamento del Quindio al

suroeste de Colombia. La calidad del cafe se debe a que los granos rojos intensos son

recolectados y procesados manualmente para conservar el delicado sabor y su fino

aroma que lo caracteriza.

This coffee has a creamy body, medium acidity, vanilla flavor and citric tones. It has

intense chocolate and almond notes that intensify its pleasant aroma. These

characteristics are the result of an ideal climate, fertility and soil humidity.

Este caf€ tiene cuerpo cremoso, acidez media, con sabor a vainilla, y tonalidades citricas.

Prosee intensas notas a chocolate y almendra que intensifican su agradable aroma. Estas

caracteristicas son el resultado del equilibria entre el clima ideal, fertilidad y humedad

del suelo.

MonteCielo coffee is a product for the international market and its proceeds will be used

by the MonteCielo Foundation. The Foundation's primary role is to ensure the wellbeing

and education of children of single mothers and of small coffee growers in our region and

its surrounding areas.

Cafe MonteCielo es un producto para la comercializaci6n en el mercado internacional,

cuyos fondos seran destinados para la Fundaci6n MonteCielo cuya principal funci6n es dar

bienestar y educaci6n a niFios de madres cabeza de hogar, y pequef\os caficultores de

nuestra regi6n y sus alrededores.

MonteCielo coffee will be marketed worldwide under the standards of quality that

distinguish the best coffees in the world. Most of the profits will be used to build a place of

hope where children will receive free education, food, health care, recreational activities, and

moral and spiritual guidance to preserve the family, the society and the environment for a

better future.

Bean and ground coffee. Package 8 oz. (226.7 g),

Package 16 oz. (453 g), and burlap coffee bag of

50kg used to transport and store green coffee

(unroasted beans). Each bag is built-in tin-tie to

help seal the bag somewhat (fold down and

keep closed by bending the tin-tie ends down).

Degassing valve included. This vastly improves

the shelf life of fresh roasted coffee (at least until

you open the bag of coffee). MonteCielo Coffee

offers Origin, Organic, Decaf, and Regular

coffees.

Cafe en grano y molido. Empacado en

presentaci6n de 8 onzas (226.7 gramos), 16

onzas (453 gramos), y bolsas de 50 kilos de cafe

verde (granos sin tostar) usada para

trasportaci6n y almacenamiento del grano. Las

bolsas tienen un cierre que se dobla en las

puntas, manteniendo el producto protegido aun

despues de abrirse. Cuenta con una valvula de

aire para proteger su olor y mantenerlo fresco.

We are a family of coffee growers and we know the conditions and the harsh reality that

coffee growers face. As owners of the MonteCielo farm, we know that coffee workers

work over 40 hours a week but their salaries are not enough to cover the basic needs of

their families, such as education, health care, medicines, drinking water and

entertainment. Coffee prices vary in the market, which makes it harder to provide a

better salary to coffee workers. For this reason, MonteCielo coffee consumers would be

helping these families improve their wellbeing every time they enjoy our coffee.

Somos una familia de caficultores y conocemos las condiciones y la dura realidad de la

caficultura. Como propietarios de la finca MonteCielo sabemos que los recolectores de

cafe trabajan mas de 40 horas a la semana pero no reciben suficiente salario para

satisfacer las necesidades basicas de sus familias como: educaci6n, salud, medicinas,

agua pura, y entretenimiento. Los precios del cafe varian en el mercado lo cual hace mas

dificil garantizar a los recolectores un mejor salario por su labor. Razon por la cual los

consumidores del cafe MonteCielo estarfan ayudando al bienestar de estas familias cada

vez que disfrutan de nuestro cafe.

During the process to obtain MonteCielo coffee, we strive to preserve and recover

natural sources of water, such as the River Armenia, which borders our farm.

Surrounding this natural source, we have several species of native flora and fauna

in the region. We avoid using chemicals and toxic products, including phenols so

that maintain the quality of our coffee. We also encourage our workers to engage

in recycling and preservation of smoke-free air.

Durante los procesos para la obtenci6n del cafe MonteCielo nos preocupamos por

preservar y recuperar fuentes naturales de agua como el rio Armenia que bordea

nuestra finca. Alrededor de esta fuente natural tenemos diferentes especies de

fauna y flora nativa de la region. Para mantener la calidad de nuestro cafe

evitamos el uso de quimicos y productos t6xicos como fenoles. Tambien

estimulamos a nuestros trabajadores en labores de reciclaje y preservaci6n del

ambiente libre de humo.
